unlock possible? - iphone 4 v. 4.3.5 - 04.10.01
i have been glancing through the forum, but the answer to my question dates back to August only, so I was wondering if there was an update on whether it was feasible to remove the simlock from my iphone 4 so i can put another sim card in there?
also, what do you think of such offerings like this one where they offer to unlock your iphone in a few minutes for 25 dollars. is this a good service? can i trust them? what are consequences? can something happen? source: superunlockiphone.com
thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there is no known unlock for this yet aside from the GeveySIM / TurboSIM solutions (which we do not support nor recommend).
The sites that claim to offer unlocks for $25 are almost always a scam. Either they're using a backdoor to get your IMEI added to Apple's list of factory unlocked phones (in which case at some point in the future Apple will notice, block the carrier from doing it in the future, and remove the IMEIs that the carrier has locked rescinding your unlock and you will not be entitled to a refund), or they're just using a TurboSIM / GeveySIM which will cease functioning if you upgrade to iOS 5.x (and is considered illegal in most countries due to the reliance on dialing an emergency number to obtain service).
Unfortunately, your best bet at present is just to hold off and wait. There should be an unlock for newer basebands in the next few months.
