Just got my Iphone 4 2 days ago and ultrasn0w is draining my battery as well. First night in standby with Ultrasn0w installed and all apps closed my battery dropped a whopping 30%. I uninstalled ultrasn0w and last night the drain was only 3-4% in standby with all apps closed and wifi on. I hope this can be addressed very soon!!!

Note: I have a 3GS with 3.1.2. I have been following this because I wondered if 1.0-1 ultrasn0w had any noticeable effect on 3.1.2. It does not. I am lucky to still have BB 4.26.08 which ultrasn0w 0.92 unlocks. I downgraded to 0.92 and haven't noticed any difference in battery usage.

    To summarize, for a 3.1.2 3GS user, 0.92 and 1.0-1 ultrasn0w perform the same.

He's using T-Mobile without a data plan on the device, in case that's of any value to anyone reading. Hasn't installed anything from Cydia other than the requisite updates that I did right when I installed it for him, so he's still running the older MobileSubstrate (prior to the patch a few days ago), in case that has any impact.
So it's your co-worker's phone you were talking about. Why don't you give us some analysis about your phone? I have tested on 4 of i4 in my household:
    - Before jailbreak (ios4 & 4.0.1 with default settings) in 10 hours of standby: 100% to 98%
    - After jailbreak in 10 hours of standby: same results
    - After ultrasnow in 10 hours of standby: 100% to 74%

When you say "default settings" - you did not clarify if you set up the iPhone as new or instead restored from iTunes backup.

It is very hard to compare before and after ultrasn0w - unless you are on the same carrier in both circumstances. Also, if you are in the US and using ultrasn0w you are also using edge only (t-mobile does not support the same 3G frequencies) so you have a very different power profile to a normal AT&T 3G user (should get better battery life if the reception is good with t-mobile)

As far as I can tell, the updates for ultrasn0w battery drain issues are only for iPhone 4.

I have a 3GS with 4.0.1 Jb and somehow the battery is draining pretty fast too.
