    defenatly unlock.

    its at 73% now
    had a bunch of calls
    some long
and last charged yesterday at 10pm
    a whole bunch of txt
    and email
    and on wifi all day
so looks like unlock really drains

Just removed unlock nothing else was done, just remove in cydia.

See the "Location" service in purple arrow on the iPhone taskbar? Some Apps that use location services sometimes end up continue to have that on, especially Apps such as Trapster and other GPS enabled app. You will see your battery level drop from 100 to 0 within a half hour to an hour. Make sure the purple arrow on the iPhone taskbar is not visible or it is using up most of your battery consumption.
There is no such thing as a mistake, there is what you do, and what you don't do.

It was in Airplane Mode, so It was definitely with the location turned off.

Updated to 4.0.1 and still the same thing. Losing battery way faster then normal.
Need a fix asap, causing its a very annoying bug.

ultrasn0w unlock is draining the battery at substantial rate on iPhone 4. I have been testing 2 different iPhone 4's for 2 days now to find out why my iPhone 4 is losing 5% battery per hour even in standby/sleep mode. I am 99.99% sure ultrasn0w is causing the battery drain.

I have tested the iPhone 4:

    1: with/without ultransn0w,
    2: with/without jailbreak
    3: with/without extra cydia apps
    4: with airplane mode on/off
    5: active/inactive t-mobile sim card

I can definitely attest that it's not happening to everyone. While I don't rely on/use ultrasn0w on my iPhone4, I jailbroke and unlock one of my co-worker's phones (iPhone4) and he's been using it on T-mobile for a few days now and hasn't noticed any difference in battery life. He's using T-Mobile without a data plan on the device, in case that's of any value to anyone reading. Hasn't installed anything from Cydia other than the requisite updates that I did right when I installed it for him, so he's still running the older MobileSubstrate (prior to the patch a few days ago), in case that has any impact.

Well, here are 3 iPhone 4 jailbroken and unlocked with ultrasn0w. One at 4.0.1 and the others at 4.0. All of them are having the same problem. Did all reset and stuff like that and dildnt fix. And before the unlock my phone used to last 5 days doing the regular stuff, no 3g no games, just wifi, music and camera! Not only mine, but all of these 3.

I had the same exact problem I thought I was imagining things. I was in Canada and unlock came out so I installed it kept it on airplane mode till I got a prepaid sim and my battery drained down really fast and I couldn't understand why. The last thing I installed was ultrasnow and once I uninstalled it my battery was perfectly fine.

I'm going to wait and see if it gets updated if not them I'll hold off on it
    1.0.2 OTB>unlocked with anysim>forgot to virginize>won't let me make calls nothing would work>apple store replaced it>1.1.2 OTB>at&t activated>jailbreaked>GunLocked>accidently downgraded to 3.9 bootloader>1.1.4 unlocked/jailbroken workin great

have the same issue here on my iphone 4 jb and unlocked, while it was only jailbroken the battery was fine, when applied the unlock had it fully charged, lost 35% in 1 afternoon only a couple of fast calls made and received, also que iphone overheats easly, the problem is from ultras0w and in standby, almost everytime i awake the phone i can see droping 1% every time i awake the phone

damn it, had to had something for this all JB and Unlock not being perfect!

the most anoying part is that nobody is doing anything about it
