    Default Is there a way to activate and jailbreak without downloading the 3.0 firmware?

    I have a brand new iphone 3GS with a fresh 3.0 OS

    When using redsnow it asks to be pointed to the 3.0 firmware. Here is my dilema - this month I am WAAAYYYY over my monthly download limit (my countrys ISP is shit!!)

    Is there any way to hactivate and JB without needing to download the 3.0 firmware??

    i dont think so cuz the redsn0w requires the ipsw to extract and patch some things
    Get the latest info for NoAccSplash Here
    Currently it should work on iOS 4.x - 6.x
    If you'd like to help extend its functionality, the source is also available.

    To use RedSn0w it does need the ipsw, sorry.
