then i went ahead and istalled
ATT_US_STEALTH.ipcc 6.0ipcc
for my carrier which is ATT this firmware gave me visual voice mail and mms as well as my tethering option. if your carrier is different you will have to find your old firmware or comparable firmware
again do a search on google its full of info.

i got my carrier file from there and it worked perfectly.
Finally I came here. Good old hackintosh forums and used the ultrasnow tutorial and re j/b my phone.

If you have upgraded to FW 3.1 or above without using pwnage then downgrading your FW will not help.
You can not downgrade your BB unless you have one of the very first 3G phones with BL 5.8 so UltraSn0w will not work.
