Check your Modem Firmware (Settings > General > About). If it is 2.10.04, sorry, you have to wait.

What Tamagochi said is correct. As mentioned many times on this board, as well as by the dev-team -- iOS 4.1 includes a baseband update that makes the phone presently unlockable. There is no ETA for an unlock for this firmware. Best bet now is to get your 4.1 SHSH on file using TinyUmbrella and then wait for the next unlock for either 4.2 or higher.

Also, it has been stated that an unlock should be possible for 3G and 3GS iPhones running iOS 4.1. As you have an iPhone 4, this might not help you. The iPhone Dev Team have been very silent on if this forthcoming unlock will also work on the iPhone 4
