Hi all i am a complete newbie to all this unlocking and jailbreaking of iPhones so could do with some help.
I currently have an 3GS on Version 4.2.1 and the modem firmware is 05.15.04.
What would be the best way to unlock my phone?

Select OS and follow instructions, you will be updating your baseband to iPad baseband and then install ultrasn0w.
i have a iPhone 3g, 4.2.1, with 06.15.00 BB, jailbroked with redsn0w and unlocked with ultrasn0w. it says ultrasn0w is installed but no matter what i do will not unlock properly. really need some help
Please don't double/triple post -- we broke out your other post into a separate topic on one of the other forums, please follow up with the issue there. In the future, please refrain from posting the same question in multiple locations. We don't like answering the same question in 6 areas and frankly, we don't always notice that the questions are duplicated. The reason your first post didn't get an answer was because you tacked it onto a completely unrelated thread (threadjacking). Please don't do that either, you'll get more people looking and a better chance of resolution if you put a question in one place (preferably the place it belongs, but we'll move stuff if needed) and let that be the place for the issue.Quote:
