I'll try when I find a custom FW.
FYI, I went to DFU mode via redsn0w, then updated with custom 4.2.1 and now it works.
Hopefully I will have network when I insert my sim :)
That will work but remember it will be a tethered jailbreak.
Also, the 4.2.1 pwnage bundle on the Dev Team's site is a minimal bundle. Meaning no Cydia so you would have to run redsn0w to have it installed.
Can you point us to the custom fw with ipad baseband that you used?
Hehe, well said.
I dont need jailbreak anymore. I will use iPhone with original SIM card (from carrier to which iPhone in locked to) so it will be fine now.
Hi. I bought a new iPhone 3GS in US, FW 4.2.1. I jailbreak and updated to the baseband 6.15.00, using RedSn0w 0.9.6b6. The phone has been activated (SIM AT&T, US network) and Cydia installed. I open Cydia and upgrade the essential apps. After this, I've installed UltraSn0w 1.2 from Cydia. After installation, Cydia required to reboot the phone but, he stucked on the Apple logo! I reboot the phone (power+home) and it entered in recovery mode. Since then, I've been trying to do this but I always get the 1015 error, probably because of the mismatch between the FW and the BB. I tried to jailbreak it again using Redsn0w, but I stuck at "Installing Activation Bundles".
I have no opportunity to save SHSH to Cydia.
Any guess, please?
