how too disable passcode on 3gs

hello all,
my 5 year old son put a passcode on my iphone 3gs thats jailbroke & unlock.. hes forgot the passcode and we tried a few time to do the passcode and no luck.. is there anyway to go around it without restoring it? please help..

If it is jailbroken, then download the free program diskaid

You have two options:

Option 1: Simple, but you lose other saved passwords and configuration.

1. find and rename the following file:
   
   Code:

   ---

   /private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db

   ---

   You can rename it to whatever, it does not matter. You can even delete it.
2. Restart the phone and you will have no passcode lock.

Option 2: More advanced, but just removes the passcode

1. using diskaid copy to your local machine the file
   Code:

   ---

   /private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db

   ---

2. Install a free sqlite editor, I used sqlitebrowser Browse SQLite Database Browser Files on SourceForge.net
3. Open your local copy of keychain-2.db and run the following SQL command.
   
   Code:

   ---

   delete from genp where acct = "DeviceLockPassword";

   ---

4. Save the modified keychain-2.db and copy it back to the iPhone with diskaid. Make sure you overwrite the existing file.
5. Restart the phone and you will have no passcode lock.

Hey, this looks pretty simple, problem is; diskaid cannot see my iphone at all. itunes sees it and opens but not diskaid...what can i do?
