I have a preserved baseband 4.1 jailbroken/unlocked T-Mobile USA iPhone 4. This problem has been occuring ever since this phone was on 4.0.1. After setting the phone up as new, I immediately jailbreak with linera1n and then unlock with ultrasn0w. The unlock seems to work fine until I turn it on one time (now it happens about one in every three turn-ons) and instead of getting "T-Mobile", I get a one bar w/o any carrier name and all phone functions are unusable. PLEASE HELP I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF I AM DESPERATE!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

Mine showed that when it wasn't actually unlocked. My problem is that the phone has too hight of a bootloader and/or baseband (don't know which causes this).

This is not the case with me, I have confirmed that I was able to preserve the old baseband when I upgraded.
