Have I done something wrong or is the phone wrong in some way.
I'd be really gratefull for some help on this !
There are a few people including myself on the forum with the same problem as yourself.
I personally have tried almost every conceivable thing to get round the problem with no joy.
Downgrading firmware the baseband different firmware files, different methods everything. There just doesn't seem to be anything to make it work.
I take it you have full reception with internet access, but u cannot make or receive calls or texts?
There is only one person that has a working iphone with tmobile on the forum, confucious.
If I come across a fix when messing around with different things, I'll be sure to post up.

I´ve tried thousands of things since my last post, still doesn´t work.
Tried ultra 0.8 and 9.1, reset network settings, all process with "official SIM" to make iphone Genuine, all process with Vodafone SIM, half process with official and ultrasn0w with Vodafone SIM, caller ID on, Push an 3g On and Off, in Windows, in Mac, Linux not because is not available (
), finally I decide to wait a ultrasn0w update and if it doesn´t comes, sell it and buy a factory unlocked Iphone...

I also faced the same problem. Sometimes it becomes impossible to unlock your phone by yourself. This is why many people buy factory unlocked phone to avoid trouble.

The first time I unlocked with Ultrasn0w it did not work either. I could receive calls but could not make them. I disabled the 3G and then I tried the unlock again and it worked.
