Exclamation "No Service", "Searching...", and "No SIM" after unlocking

    Hi folks --

I've been doing some research for a few days now and still have yet to find a good solution to this problem.

I jailbroke my phone using redsn0w and then proceeded to download ultrasn0w through Cydia. I have tried reinstalling ultrasn0w and I am still receiving the error messages. The three messages (in the subject line) toggle... meaning they go from one to another, continuously. How do I make this stop? The funny thing about it is when I look at the "About" section under "settings", it has all of my information.

I have my 3g turned off. I have toggled the "Airplane Mode" button. I have "reset my network settings", and I have been patient as ever with this issue. Here's a bit of information on the phone:

    Network: Not Available
    Version: 4.0.1 (8A306)
Carrier: Carrier Lab 7.0 (what is that!?)
    Model: MB702LL
    IMEI: 01 193400 457626 6
    ICCID: 8901 4103 2114 7414 0989
    Modem Firmware: 05.13.04

I will be absolutely thankful for anyone that can provide insight as to why this is happening and how I can make it stop! I'd really like to use the phone some time soon...

    Thanks!

Fixed it. Issue was with the SIM card there was a black chip underneath it which I thought was supposed to be placed in with the SIM card. I removed the black chip and placed the SIM card in by itself... and it works now. DOH!!

This is something that should be mentioned to check into more often.

Those who had older *SIM type hardware sim-adapters, these stopped working (mostly before iOS 3.0) and interfere with software only unlocks.
