Hmm. I'm not quite sure what could be causing this. It's possible that the 2G radio has died, but I have *never* seen the 2G/EDGE radio die while leaving the 3G radio functional. How is the phone activated? Did you hacktivate or use SAM? Is it legitimately activated on the carrier? You're running the latest ultrasn0w, so that's not the problem. Does toggling Airplane mode / etc., cause any impact whatsoever on the situation or does it just leave you back where you were before you toggled?

Hate to say you've stumped me -- I can't think of anything other than a hardware failure that would cause you to drop EDGE connectivity, unless you had a bad carrier bundle or something? Did you install a carrier bundle or had you previously installed a network profile (.IPCC) to attain service?
