today I replaced my old simcard by a spanking new one, still cant unlock

can you check something for me? When you have the sim inside the phone, with the "No service" in the top-left corner....go to settings, general--> about--->Network.........and can you tell me if it says NOT AVAILABLE, and if you tap it, it says phone not allowed...does it??? because mine does, but i can see in carrier MOVISTAR 4.0 or the name of the sim carrier.

I recently purchased an iphone and successfully redsn0wed the phone and ran ultrasn0w successfully. The problem was when I tried to insert a different carrier SIM. Naturally (with my luck) the phone told me to hook up with iTunes so it could tell me the SIM card was not valid. It is a Greek CosmOTE card. It connects to the Rogers network to make emergency calls with no problem but apparently ultrasn0w did not work. Is there something Im missing in the installation procedure so the phone is not activated with Rogers? Im leaving for Greece in a day and would like to use this phone on my trip.

My searches seem to find many others with the same issue but nobody seems to have a solution.

Any ideas???

peu, have you gotten any further on this? I'm experiencing this problem too. My phone was unlocked with ultrasn0w for use on T-Mobile USA, but it grabs a signal for a minute or so then drops it, and I get "no signal".
