Unhappy need help battery is just dying

hello i had the iphone 2g for more then 3 years been great but got an opertunity and got a iphone 3g all great till i understood that 4.2.1 was not hackable till reacently,
so i got going and went with the ultra snow option with red snow updated to ipad bb 6.15.00 then ultrasnow did its thing, i have from the iphone 2g the original at&t sim so i used it to activate it dosnt show on the itunes only on the iphone itself it says iphone activated. everything was great till i understood the battery dropes like 15 present in 30 min never in my life i sew such a thing (i appreiciate my old 2g much more now) i dont know if i need the SAM option cuz i got offical sim and it works the activation i understood there is only one more option and thats to not use the old iphone backup from itunes i dont understand waht it got to do is there a better solotion for this battery drain everything als workes like a clock

also i have read "The actual reason for battery drain is NOT the baseband update to 6.15.00 as you may have thought. It’s because of the way the hacktivation process works for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 IPSW firmware. Unlike older FW, these new ones keep on looking for valid push certificates all the time either through WiFi or your Cellular data network."
but the thing is i got sbsetting and i all ways switch off the cellular data the 3g and wifi when i dont use it and the battery still dropps from using apps and music and such i need helpp

There are several reasons for poor battery life. The best way to troubleshoot is to restore iPhone, activate legitimately and set up as new. Then see if battery still drops significantly. If so it's likely a hardware problem.

Yes, we have explained previously the different ways you can save this data (via a copy of your backup) and restore (either completely or selectively) from a specially saved backup
