Default iPhone (US) Troubles with T-Mobile Service

I recently unlocked my iPhone with ultrasn0w a few days ago. the first day i didnt notice but some calls dont go through. If they leave a message on my voicmail it will appear and tell me. I will receive text messages like 2 or 3 hours after they were originally sent and sometimes will get three or four messages at a time. Some calls and texts go through perfectly it happends a few times a day. Its rather irritating everything else works perfect. I am pretty clear this is the iPhone and not T-Mobile... i reinstalled ultrasn0w and still have this problem is this common? is there a fix or any sort of way to troubleshoot it? 3G is off data roaming is on etc. let me know if you can help thanks!

You are not alone. I am experiencing the same issues. I am also having the phone get the "no service" bug. A reset of network settings in Settings->General->Reset was taking care of that issue.

Today however, I found that the phone would work fine until I put in the APN settings for tmobile. Once the settings went in, i would get the 'no service' issue. I have left the apn settings out, and not had any issues all day. I did use the unit over wifi several times and still not had issues.

    Wierd.

    Default other issues

I just updated to 3.0 on an iPhone 2G and used redsnow to unlock and jailbreak. Before i did the latter, though, I did update the firmware. I noticed that my emails would disconnect as they downloaded new messages. Weird stuff. Anyone with clues about how to go about fixing this. Emails on my iPhone activated via Push are my lifeline!

    Thanks!

    same problem here
    airtell banaglore/india.

The wife called me and I didnt even hear the phone ring.
I call her and I get a msg saying phone is switched off but she is using the phone. She has the 2g I have the 3g both on the new firmware.
The 2G seems to have fewer problems.

    You just updated?
That's why you have problems. You need to do a clean restore.
