Default HELP: Unlocked 5.0.1 3GS SMS crash, everything else fine.

    So this was problem today:
Okay so I've been messing with this all day. Used redsn0w to jailbreak and install cydia+ipad baseband then I installed ultrasn0w and it finally recognized my Sim card. Everything seems pretty chill except SMS doesn't work at all. If I send a normal SMS it just crashes but if I send a iMessage it just loads forever and if I go to my settings it tells me that iMessage is "waiting for activation..."

Does anyone know how to help me? I followed this tutorial, How To Unlock iPhone 3Gs 5.0.1 for Tmobile & Fix No Service Error - 5.16.05 to 6.15.00 - Ultrasn0w - YouTube , and I'm having issues. Currently reinstalling the iPad baseband through redsn0w to see if that fixes anything.

Also when I try to jailbreak with Install Cydia+Install iPad the fetching iPad files makes the program close so I installed them separately.

My phone is an old bootrom.
Currently I have the phone jailbroken/unlocked and everything seems to work except for SMS.

Everytime I try to send a text it just crashes/closes immediately. I don't know why. I've also installed the Corona 5.0.1 Untether and still nothing.
I also installed a APN package which seemed to only put a website link into the APN, nothing in username or password.

I just did this with an old 3GS this weekend and didn't have to use any carrier bundles / etc., here's what I did:

    1) Installed iOS 5.0.1 to the 3GS
    2) Used redsn0w to install iPad baseband
    3) Used redsn0w to jailbreak
    4) Installed SAM, deactivated iPhone
    5) Plugged in to iTunes, activated
    6) Installed TetherMe APN Editing (I bought TetherMe a long time ago) and put in T-Mobile settings
    7) Tested SMS - Worked!
    8) Tested MMS - Didn't Work! Message Size restriction.
    9) Followed instructions here to edit plist: fix mms error t-mobile unlocked NOT jailbroken -- Worked!

Now I've got SMS + MMS as well as working push notifications. The only problem is it's a pay as you go account so the iMessage activation messages won't succeed, I can only iMessage from e-mail until I get that sorted out.
