In any case, restoring to 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 in DFU with hosts pointed to Saurik's server is worth a try. It will just fail at the very beginning if your hashes aren't saved and the phone will be left intact.

Apple stopped signing requests for 3.1.3 a few days after the iOS 4.0 official release.

Are you 100% sure you went into advanced mode, selected 3g3 - 3.1.3 and Cydia as source then clicked on "save my SHSH"?

If you just clicked "save my SHSH" without first going to advanced mode and changing to 3.1.3 then TinyUmbrella will default to requesting an iOS 4.0 SHSH for you.
Damn i did the "save my SHSH" first instead of changing it in the advanced settings. I thought you can save both SHSH.

You can run it as many times as you want. Run it again, with advanced settings set to 3GS - 3.1.3

I tried doing that, but it shows "This device isn't eligible for the requested build."

So you get something like this (log file from TinyUmbrella 4.0.0 (80):

    Code:
    07/13/2010 09:55:39.417 Processing SHSH Request...
    07/13/2010 09:55:39.417 Asking CYDIA for SHSH blobs for iPhone3GS 3.1.3 (7E18)...
07/13/2010 09:55:39.417 This device isn't eligible for the requested build.
07/13/2010 09:55:39.418 CYDIA DOES NOT HAVE YOUR SHSH FOR iPhone3GS 3.1.3 (7E18) THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO GET THEM. SORRY. YOU ARE JUST TOO LATE.
If you get this error message for iPhone3GS 3.1.3 (7E18) then you really are out of luck.

The latest build of TinyUmbrella has made the error messages in the log file more clear.

Is there a way that I can save my shsh for OS 3.1.3 on my computer, then try to restore the iphone off of my computer by making a server of some sort that uses the SHSH that i saved?

Not really - even though it's theoretically possible to capture SHSH for NOR and kernelcache, iBSS/iBEC/ramdisk SHSH that are required for restore aren't captured that way. Also there are no tools for that and you cannot run SSH on your phone anyway..

Is there another option where I can jailbreak the phone without using spirit?

If you have a 3.1.2 SHSH, you can downgrade to 3.1.2, then use redsn0w to jailbreak?
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.

    iPhone 4, 32GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n | SHSH: 4.0 - 6.1.2)
    iPad 2 3G, 64GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n
    |
    SHSH: 4.3 & 4.3.3 - 6.1)

    Restore problems? Read this: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f137/130802.htm
