if this dont work for you, please email me at redspade04@gmail.com and tell me your mnc so i can add it. to get the mobile network code, call *3001#12345#* on your iphone, then go to mm info, equivalent plmn list, 0, and their it will be. thanks everyone.

420 the cincinnati area i believe, and 410 is out around mount orab i belive. im almost positive im missing one more, but until i get an email saying theirs one more, i think this ipcc is done.

Thats why I added fields to enter more than one MCC/MNC ;-)
Happens with several carriers. just make sure to add all the ones you need. i know, the carriers dont provide those data. So it is a community thing. Once you found out the MCC/MNC data for your local carrier and make it available (ipcc or the information) others will benefit. Thats what the forum here is all about ;-9

So I just need to get the $15/month unlimited messaging and data plan?

Does this allow me to use 3G in other places besides the cincinnati area (for example, in washington DC)?

In cincy, will I still get Edge speeds at least?

Do I need a new sim card if I want the 3G access, too? I have one from about 4 years ago...

    Thanks!

so if anyone uses this ipcc and your internet and mms doesnt work, please email me at redspade04@gmail.com. ill add your mnc asap! to get mnc, just do a field test by calling *3001#12345#* ----> mm info ----> equivalent plmn list ----> 0 ----> and then just tell me the mobile network code. thanks everyone.
So I'm getting ready to buy an unlocked iPhone and I stumble across this post. Does this mean that if put an iPhone on Cincinnati Bell's service and I go totally outside the coverage area (Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, etc), that the data won't work unless I find the mnc for that city first? I travel a lot, so this could be a dealbreaker for me.

No, this is just for creating a carrier bundle (cb). While travelling you'll be in roaming situation and can enable data there. This will of cause add additional cost to your bill ;-)

Luckily, I have free roaming, so that's not really an issue for me. I just want to make sure that I'm not in a situation where I have to constantly configure the iPhone based on where I'm going to be next week. I don't mind doing a fair amount of legwork upfront, but I'm hoping that the iPhone will just sort of "work" after the initial setup. Thanks for the response!

The MCC/MNC is just something like declaring the home base address ;-)

This may sound dumb but what is the ipcc and what do I do with the download?

I followed your info and mine is 420...

After watching your video it worked for me to send photos but I can not receive them.
I will even get the text portion of the message but not the photo...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks...
