I did JB my iphone when it was FW 3.0 but i aint back up it when it was JB. I have downloaded a custom FW 3.0 on my comp. but when i tried some several ways to downgrade it to 3.0 from 3.1 then i had some problems when i was downgrading. I dont know whut it is but i think it's because of my Original Apple 3.1 FW. If i can JB my 3.1Fw please let me know...

All you need to do is restore a custom FW made with pwnage and you will be on 3.12 JB. You don't need to downgrade.

*Are there any pwnagetool for 3.1 which is running on PC?
*Do i have to use latest itunes for it or v8.x is also suitable?

There is no currently pwnagetool for the windows. ih8sn0w is supposedly working on an unofficial windows version but this is still in beta and the reports from beta testers have not been great.

iTunes 8.2 or higher should be fine for loading the custom ipsw.

linking to custom ipsw files is not permitted in this forum. You might have more success with google.

You should save your ECID SHSH with Cydia. This will allow you to reinstall/downgrade to 3.1 (or 3.1.2) when 3.2 is released.

I have donwloaded and itunes 9. I followed the instructions u've told and downloaded a custom ipsw. But now it gives 1604 Error! ...

1604 means youb are trying to restore a custom ipsw in DFU mode on an already pwned device. Just turn the device on and shift/option restore from iTunes. No need to enter DFU.

IHMO, ih8sn0w , sn0wfreeze or whatever else out there are just vaporware. ih8 even claimed to have an unlock for 05.11.07 . MuscleNerd from DEV TEAM have asked ih8 to post his claim in private email and offered to assist if such claim is true. Well... you guess it ... NADA, NIL, NOTHING. If ih8 is porting xpwn to windows, then that's a different thing. I know several people working on the port. I will try to get an update and report back with more info. Since planetbeing is "missing", that is why a delay in a windows version

Dev Team have posted warnings regarding wild promised "solution" out there.

Personally, I trust only material from Dev Team, Geohot or ChronicDev when it comes to unlock & jailbreak.

There is no unlock for that version and there possibly never will be one.

It is not possible to downgrade baseband on 3GS

It is possible to downgrade OS to 3.0 but you have to have jailbroken that phone on 3.0 and saved your ECID SHSH with cydia. Very few people managed to do that before apple stopped signing 3.0.x

If you have 3.1 3GS out of the box a downgrade to 3.0 is not possible

So is this a hoax or are these guys better than the dev-team.
