Anyone know if unlock will be called Ultrasn0w?

I had read that ultrasn0w exploit has been made obsolete in newest BB. I wonder if 01.59.00 BB in iPhone 4 unlock will still be called "ultrasn0w"?

I believe it will still be ultrasn0w for iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.x unlock.

If an unlock is ever released for iOS 4.1 baseband - it might get a new name.

Honestly, one of the things I'm excited about with the new iPhone 4 unlock is the memory dump to calculate "factory unlock" code. I wonder how long that would take........

I agree, but I don't believe that has been announced to be released with the unlock. I know @musclenerd tweeted about the possibility of such a program, but I do not believe he intimated that it would be released at the same time as the unlock itself, as they are both entirely different beasts. The soft-unlock is a hack of the baseband to circumvent certain protections, whereas the brute force attempt truly is a brute force calculation (legal now thanks to the recent DMCA ruling) of the unlock code without the possibility of bricking the baseband (which is what can happen if you put the wrong unlock code into the phone repeated times, it either permanently carrier locks or bricks, depending on phone model.)
