Question 3G still locked after ultrasnow

    Hi everyone

I am trying to unlock iphone 3G OS 3.1.2 BB 5.11.07 BB bootloader 5.09

I do not have a sim card for the original carrier (don't even know which carrier is).

    This is what I did.

    1) I did a restore to 3.1.2 (original firmware non custom). I am not sure why I could do this as I read every where it is not possible. I put it in DFU and shift+restore click and everything went fine.

    2) jailbreak with redsn0w. I only installed Cydia

    3) Installed ultrasn0w 1.1-1.

I did not get any signal. I try rebooting and resetting network settings. I read that resetting network setting may be an issue on 3GS but not on 3G. Is that correct? May I end up with a corrupted BB???

I did also try restoring again and Blackra1n + blacksn0w but the same result.

Any idea about what is wrong here??

    Thanks
    Lucas

    That sounds very odd.
Do you see the IMEI showing on your phone ?

Sorry I do not understand your question. You want me to look into my phones IMEI? if I dial *#06# I can but it may not be a good idea to publicate it in a public forum. Correct?

no ... i mean if you go to settings, general, about, does it show the correct IMEI number. Also does it show the wifi address, bluetooth address and modem firmware correctly
