my specs are:
Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.41GHz
2 Gb RAM DDR3
ATI radeon HD4770 512mb DDR5
MB ASUS P5k3 Deluxe Wi-Fi
the only thing i changed from the time i installed and now is the videcard. Last time i didnīt even got to change bios or anything. Its in my Pc bios configuration right? or to customize the OSX instalation? iīm donwloading a retail version of the 10.6.2, to see if i get lucky. this one that is crashing is the 10.6.0 of SL
and yes i use sata drives.
Well, Check your Bios setting and make sure their are settting right. Intel Quad Core processor works pretty good with Rebel EFI. Downloading Snow Leopard OS sometimes is not such a of good thing, since most of uploaders customized the OS, But give it try and see.
I would try the Retail version instead. Rebel EFI works only with "vanilla" (unmodified) OS X kernels and use vanilla kernel extensions.. what Rebel EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) does is allow full, simple booting off official MacOS install disks, and a subsequent install, without any patching required.
If your settings are correct your system should works.
Also don't make the mistakes of mixing Customized OS with any bootloade, since Every system is different.
Hiya i'm trying to load this now but seem to be constantly getting stuck on the please inser the mac osx x dvd screen.....i've put the dvd in but its not reading/nothing's happening! am i doing something wrong?
(Im sure this thread is extremly old, and prob. wont be replied to, but I am going to post to it anyways and hope for a response.)
So, I am building a new computer soon, and want to run Mac OS X alongside windows 7, and prob. ubuntu. I am getting this barebones kit GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H Intel 7 Series Motherboard and Intel Core i5-3470 Processor and Kingston HyperX Red 4GB Memory Module and Kingston HyperX Red 4GB Memory Module and Seagate Barracuda 500GB Bundle at TigerDirect.com I am pretty sure all the hardware is compatible. I am going to add a 650 graphics card to it, and I am going to buy 2 8gb kingston hyper x ram, and put the 2 4gb sticks in my other computer, and a 1tb hard drive to it. So, I want to have Mac OS X Snow Leopard on the 500Gb hard drive, and Windows 7 and ubuntu on the 1tb hard drive. They are both internal hard drives also. So, Is there a tutorial on how to do this, or can someone explain it? Do I still need a bootloader and everything? Which Os do I need to install first? Do I need to change my bios settings? If I change them to work with a mac, will I still be able to boot windows 7 and ubuntu? I will have the official install discs, for both snow leopard, and windows 7.
Thanks if I get a reply

One option would be to clone the drive with Carbon Copy Cloner.
Another option is to do a restore of the dmg onto an external drive and then install like a dvd.
