I installed Chameleon RC2 to the Snow Leopard partition after install, and I replaced the boot file from RC3 (i386) to the root dir. on Snow. and thats all I did with RC3 as told by the instructions. I used the HEX string from EFI strings for Geforce 9800 since they didn't have my card, I also tried 8800 with no avail.
When removing the "AppleHPET.kext" file and the "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext" do you have to place the folder in Kext Utility again? I didn't but I thought since removing other kext before you had too.
BTW my plist looks like this:

In your LEOPARD install, open OSX86Tools (download and install if you don't have it), then go to "Add EFI/Boot strings" and then go to GFX sting creator and see if your card is in the drop down there.
If so, select it and then copy that efi to the com.apple.Boot.plist file under /E/E. Not sure if it will be there though, this is kind of a long shot.
I did (maybe) find the EFI string for the 9500GS here: Anything works with Nvidia 9500 GS (How to) - InsanelyMac Forum

I entered that hex string to still no avail. now it still says the message as before but the screen just goes entirely black, I booted with -f, and -v commands and none and still same story...
I have a feeling its the partition that is causing the problem. I set SNOW to BOOT on Gparted and it says no bootable media, when I set the win7 partition to BOOT it gives me the option Win7 or Mac, when I choose mac it goes into chameleon w/ SNOW as an option. After selecting snow then the problem occurs.
Thank you ouija for all your help, it was indeed my partition that was at fault. I am currently running Snow beautifully in 32-bit due to the wireless driver.
Right now the only problem I have is running the 10.6.2 Combo or 10.6.1 update, neither lets me install stating I do not meet the minimum req.
Also SU doesn't display the update although it did show others. Any thoughts?
Hi,
I´m having serious trouble finding a modifiable dmg of snow leopard which allow me to see al the files in the package, and sofort overwrite the "OSInstall.mpkg" file.
Can anyone help me out on that?
Thanks in advance!
Make sure you use the SHOWALLFILES first, this will then show you the hidden directories. :)
