    Default My first Hackintosh

    Hi everyone!

As first: If I put this in the wrong spot, please replace it!

I am a happy mac-user for 2 years now, but I need something stronger, something monstruos for my study (HD video editing, bit photos in Photoshop etc.) so I have been looking into an iMac Quad Core.

People on other fora had told me I should not buy that one, but make a Hackintosh, which made me come here.

I picked some components and would like to know if Snow Leopard would work on this set up. Also, let me know if you think I should change anything (if it's under/over powered).
    Thanks in advance!

    The components:

    Intel Core i7 920

    Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B

    Asrock X58 Extreme3

    OCZ Gold Low-Voltage OCZ3G1333LV6GK

    Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ, 1TB

    Club3D HD 5750 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E (Passive)

    Fractal Design Define R2

    Antec TruePower TP-550

    Nexus Real Silent D12SL-12, 120mm

    Sony Optiarc AD-7241S

This would run me for about € 1000,- or $ 1300,-

    Looking forward to your support!

I know how to build a PC, how to install everything so all I need to know now, is if I can use these components.

Ummmm..... I'm new here! But anyways, would it be possible to use a Blu-ray diskdrive for a Hackint0sh? I know that no Apple Macs can support that, but I was thinking if there were any drivers that would enable the Hackint0sh to recognize the drive.... (And how big could the Hard Drive be? I would like a 2TB Hard Drive) Oh, and also If I took the list of computer parts I was buying to a local computer store could they find a case that would fit it?
