    Photobooth:
    1) Download camtwist if you haven't already and install it.

    2) Open camtwist and select webcam under step 1:

    3) Then go to the very right to the drop down menu and make sure "USB2.0 UVC Webcam" is selected

    4) Under step 3: make sure the check box next to webcam is selected

    5) Hightlight webcam and click the "save setup" button

    6) Once you have named the setup and saved it make sure it is highlighted and click select at the very bottom under step 3:

    7) Now click the "autoload" button and make sure the the font for you setup is now BOLD (it should look like the image below)

    8) Now open up automator from your applications folder

    9) Choose new workflow

    10) Now select "launch application" from the middle list and from the drop down menu select photobooth

    11) Next drag over "launch application" again and navigate to camtwist from your drop down menu

    12) Then drag over "quit application" and again navigate to camtwist (it will look like this when you are finished)

    13) Finally save your new workflow but select application as your format

    - This workflow opens photobooth and then cam twist so that the drivers load and proceeds to close camtwist. Now instead of having to open them both by hand, launch the new application we just made and you are good to go.

    Sound after wake:
    1) Download sleepwatcher (search for it on google) and install both packages in the .dmg

    2) Now reboot your computer (this is necessary for the correct files to be created)

    3) Launch terminal

    4) type "cd /etc"

    5) type "sudo vi rc.wakeup"

    6) enter your password

    7) While holding shift press G

    8) Press esc then i

    9) Use the arrow keys to move the cursor past the end of done and hit enter 2 times

    10) Now copy and paste the following to the end of the file:

    /sbin/kextunload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextunload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextunload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextunload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    sleep 3
    /sbin/kextload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log
    /sbin/kextload /Extra/CustomExtensions/VoodooHDA.kext>>/var/log/system.log

    11) Press esc (the end of your file should look something like this)

    12) Hold shift and type wq

    13) Type wq again and hit enter

    14) You can now close terminal

    15) Finally navigate to /System/Library/Extensions and delete appleHDA.kext (you may want to make a backup copy somewhere just in case)

    16) It may require a restart for everything to take effect but i can't remember if I had to or not.

    - Basically what this program is doing is watching your sleep kernel. When it sees that the kernel has waken from sleep, it will unload and then reload the VoodooHDA.kext from the system which is what fixes the sound issue.

    - You can now put your nb205 to sleep and when it wakes you will still have crystal clear sound! This is the one thing that was almost a deal breaker for me so it is nice to finally have it fixed. I tried to make these steps as easy to follow as I could but if you have any questions feel free to PM me. If you follow this guide post back a response good or bad.

    Nate
Install worked for me. After install I lost sound so I just went to terminal and did a sudo /pfix and let that run. Then after that open disk utility and repair disk permissions. When both are complete, reboot and you will have sound. Next I went to spotlight and searched for "Audio Midi Setup". Open that program and lower the format to the lowest setting. Then everything works A-ok.

    Default Dell 1510 wifi card

does anyone know if it makes any difference which card is needed. On the dell site there are 4 1510 wifi cards. All of them have different part numbers.

For what it's worth, I bought an unbranded Broadcomm wifi chip that matches the same model number as the Dell 1510 on eBay for $16 shipped and it works beautifully. Two caveats - it's not half-height, but it still fits just fine, and it ships from China so it takes a couple of weeks. But hey, $16! Here's a link:

    Default updating to 10.6.2

Thnx for the guide Noxin, works exactly as advertised.

Personally I prefer to use CarbonCopyCloner (freeware) to make a complete clone of a working and fully configured macmini. And then apply your kexts and fixes to it. This has saved me a lot of time. I was (like many others) unable to use the latest clone from an external harddrive, because the clone was 10.6.2 and I got stuck in a re-boot loop.

The fix however is very simple. Copy the mach_kernel from a perfectly working 10.6 install (in my case) to the freshly 10.6.2 clone, but 10.6.1 install might work as well.

In case you don't use CarbonCopyCloner , you may do it by manually

    #backup the 10.6.2 kernel
    sudo cp /Volumes//mach_kernel /Volumes//mach_kernel-bak
    #copy the 10.6.1 kernel over
    sudo cp /mach_kernel /Volumes//mach_kernel

    cheers!

    Gijs

    Default Update to 10.6.2

I have read in a lot of sites that the Intel Atom (which uses the NB200) Users cannot update to 10.6.2 like we did for 10.6.1 in the guide on page 2..
The best thing is THAT THE ATHEROS WIFI IS IDENTIFIED AS AN AIRPORT (with an easy mod in IO80211Family.kext)!

To update do the following (EXACTLY AS SAID):

    1. Make sure you have at least 1GB Flash USB Stick and Snow Leopard 10.6.1
    installed on your nb200/205

    2. Go to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL958 and Download the 473 MB 10.6.2 Update

3.Copy the MacOSXUpd10.6.2.dmg to the usb stick so you can transfer it to your netbook

4.Open Terminal and type: defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE and press enter
then type: killall Finder and enter

this will show hidden files in OS X

5.Go to the disk where you installed snow leopard and copy the hidden
    mach_kernel to your usb stick

6.Run the 10.6.2 Update BUT DO NOT REBOOT

7.After its done leave the installer open where it says "Installation Complete"

8.Go to your Disk and delete the mach_kernel (NOT THE ONE IN THE USB STICK!)

9.Then COPY the one from your usb stick to the disk

10.Open Terminal and type: sudo /pfix to repair the permissions

    11.do steps 5 and 8 (not 6 and 7!)

12.type sudo /pfix in terminal again

    13.reboot and thats it!

P.S. The graphics will be LOW RES i don't know how to fix that and the atheros is identified ONLY as an airport i mean that it cannot find any networks or something...
If noxin has a response for these 2 problems...

Wow this is good new's araikos, I'm sure it will be easy enough to fix the display with some patched kexts. I believe in noxin's guide he even supplied a file to do this very thing in case of an update. Hopefully someone can get the wifi fully working.

Can you upload your "IO80211Family.kext" so i can see if i can get it to go in 10.6.1, i wont be able to download the 10.6.2 update for a few days.

    Thanks

Oh and before i leave i just found http://netkas.org/?p=315 in the bottom of the main post they give an atheros driver which might make it work. Bye hopefully you can get it all working.

EDIT: You could also have a look in the airport utility and see if you can get it to work.

    Default Wireless and graphics..

The Atheros ar9285 PCI Wireless Card can be identified as an airport but it just identifies it! I tried to boot up with wireless communications (bluetooth & wifi) disabled and it recognizes it like before!!
I recommend downloading the fixed airport atheros kexts (JA53N has the link) i am pretty sure it will work!

As of the graphics i dont think the 27ae.sh patch is working because i placed it in the root of my disk and type in terminal: sudo /27ae.sh asked for password and says that the 2 graphics kext were patched succesfully, i reboot and the same old 800x600 resolution is filling my screen...

P.S if the fixed atheros drivers dont work just type the device's id: this model is pci168c,2b (you will write it in /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirportAtheros21.kext/Contents/Info.plist

    Default Wireless...

I tried netkas "fixed" airport atheros drivers but it still just show it to me as an
airport that doesn't identify no networks.. netkas fixed atheros said that its going to fix this but it didn't.. however here is how i did it so you can try a few tweaks yourself and tell me if it worked..

    1. Download the 10.6.2 IO80211Family.kext found here: Download IO80211Family.kext.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way and place it in /System/Library/Extensions replacing the one that is there

    2. download the netkas *fixed* atheros: http://files.netkas.org/10.6.2/AtherosFix.kext.zip and place it to /Extra/Extensions

3.Now go to /Extra/Extensions and right-click in the AtherosFix.kext and click "Show Package Contents"

4.Open the Info.plist found inside and you will see a line that says:

    <string>pci168c,(a number)</string>

Create another one just like the above that will say:

    <string>pci168c,2b</string>

(the 2b is the id of the atheros card)

    5.Go to System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirportAtheros21/Contents and open Info.plist

6.You will notice type the same 2b line i written before and close the textedit

7.Run in terminal sudo /pfix and reboot

8.If it identifies the airport youre good to go but if it doesnt show you any networks you have still things to do..

Can someone gime the bluetooth kext because i can find it?

Even with that 10.6.2 IO80211Family.kext 10.6.1 wont pick up the wifi card, guess i will just have to wait a few days in till i install 10.6.2.
