I am new to hackintosh as well, and I have installed snow leopard to my desktop and netbook.with regards to what kext you require Search on the forum for your mobo and you should all that info.get the boot 132 image and burn that to disk, either setup to boot from your DVD drive via the bios or using your quick boot selector.once booted into the loader insert your snow leopard DVD. Wait for your drive to finish reading the disc and hit f5.

You will then see the snow leopard DVD select that...enter and will take you through the setup and the installation.you may run into some kernel panics (kp).To install via thumb drive mabye try using image burner to create an image of your snow leopard DVD, writing it to the drive maybe try wintoflash I am not sure it will work on snow leopard but I use that free program to write my windows7 image to the thumb drive.you have to try and the same with the boot image as well.give it a try and see how you go.the are some very helpful knowledgable guys up in here that can help you out.
