Sorry to double post, but im finished now.
Following my last post (no seriously go read it, its real close by, like right next door) I copied all but NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and OpenHaltRestart.kext (because it was already there) then went to my kext tool, [Go > Applications > ATools > Kext Utility]. I just double clicked it thinking it might have the tools i need. Instead it did its own scripted function and repaired all permissions, cleared some caches and did some magic. After rebooting i now have audio. So thats Audio, Video, and LAN working on 10.6.0 Now i will be moving on to updating to 10.6.2 after i clone my drive to my primary drive to my 2nd drive. Thanks for all the help guys, and ill be floating around here for a while working on my laptop and then netbook installs. Peace

Default Nvidia GF 9500 GS 512 MB HDMI port

Wondering if anyone here is experiencing the same issue I am. When I boot into my SL drive, I will get a blue screen. So I disconnect the HDMI cable and re-connect it, my logon screen appears as it normally would. Now, if I boot into my Windows drive first, then restart into SL, it boots fine. Anyone else having this same issue? I can live with it, but it is annoying as hell. I have dedicated drives for each OS.

    Cheers

    Thumbs up

I added the NVDAEnabler.kext and it looks like the issue is resolved. Will test and post an update in a few days.

    cheers

    ******update ********

Since adding the above kext, have not had a problem since . SL boots fine with no blue screen after boot.

    Cheers

    Default Can't install chamaleon RC2

Sorry i have a problem and i hope you can help me..
I can't install both chamaleon RC2 and RC1 on SL partition..
i'm trying to install SL from a prevous installation of Leopard 10.5.8.. i have an hp pavilion a6680it with mod bios(v5.17).
I installed Leopard from an ideneb dvd and through it i installed chamaleon RC2. Now, when i try to install it on SL partition, the installer stops at the beginning, during the "core" installation.
So i try to install the RC2 in a different partition of the same drive of SL: in this partition i installed another Leopard 10.5.8.
The installation from Leopard into anothe leopard patition works fine while the installation from leopard to snow leopard fails.
Anybody knows where i'm wrong? how can i install RC2 on SL partition?

EDIT: problem resolved, i try again from the beginning and now the installation works.. i don't know whats wrong with the first attempt

EDIT:i have another problem: i have an nVidia geForce 9300 256MB and in EFIStudio it doesn't appears..Where i can find the efi string for my video card?
    Thanks in advance

EDIT:i found the EFI string and i edited the com.apple.Boot.plist file but during the boot i have a kernel panic.
I try to reinstall without edit the com.apple.Boot.plist(i think thath maybe SL recognize itself my video card) but i still have the KP.
Also i try some flags: cpus=1, arch=i386, -x, -v, -f and their combinations without success..
After i try changing the match_kernel file with other i find in the web but nothings works..
    Anybody can help me?

Default Snow Leopard 10.6.2 installed *FULLY FUNCTIONAL & STABLE*

BIG Thanks to the original poster and ichannsan for their tutorials. I've used these as well as incorporating other "vanilla" snow leopard installation instructions from couple of other blogs/sites; for my installation of Snow Leopard during the last couple of days. I used modded BIOS v5.17 from ichannsan's thread for my 10.5.8 and it also worked perfectly with Snow 10.6. At first I was getting quite a few kernel panic errors message after Snow installation, however I worked my way to installed and reinstalled all the kexts from booting into my other working OSX Leopard 10.5.8 partition on a second drive.

I cant recalled exactly which kexts that I've tried and installed, however I think I did install most of listed here plus from some other posts (Snow Leopard 64bit kext.zip, and a similar one Snow Leopard Kext that included 32 as well as 64bit kexts). I just wanted to report back that I now have a fully functional (LAN, quartz extreme and quartzcl for my graphic card-NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT 512MB, and sound (AppleHDA and HDAEnabler kexts). Additionally, I used Chameleon v2R4 as my boot loader. I actually have a tripple boot configuration:

Drive 1 - 2 partitions - Snow 10.6.2 (as default boot partion) and a partition for a shared storage
    Drive 2 - 3 partitions - Windows 7, Leopard 10.5.8 and a FAT-32 Storage partition

So, as you can see as default Chameleon will boot into Snow. However if I wish I can certainly boot into Windows 7 and Leopard 10.5.8 during the initial Chameleon boot-loader prompt.

My only issue now is that my Snow Leopard m9250f wont wake up if I put it to sleep. I've have tried a few few kexts, including Slice IOUSBFamily kext for 10.5.8, however I still unable to get it to work- aka wake up on sleep. I'm still searching for a solution for this issue, if anyone knows or have a solution for this please give me some pointers. Other than that I'm very happy with the result.

Here are couple of screenshots of my Snow Leopard 10.6.2 m9250f . As you can see , 10.6.2 and processor speed, memory showed correctly and the 9400GT 512MB is running 1920x1200@60 on a 24" and finally I've TM running in the background at the moment.

    Default 9400GT @ 1920x1200 QE

    Dear all!

After long long sleepless nights I still can't get my XFX nVidia 9400 GT 512MB card run at 1920x1200 resolution.

Could any of you please help me, as to where to find proper methods, EFI strings, anything :-?

    P.S.
I already sent a private message to 3pcmacfan3, but I am still awaiting help from anybody out there ;-)

    Thanks in advance
