Thanks Ouija, I knew some brave heart like you would do such favour the rest of the community.

Since I also tried and couldn't yet solve the sleep issue, i am now just using 10.5.7. As on 10.5.8 I also had the same sleep problem.

You mentioned that you were on 10.5.8, was it also using the chameleon installation method? How was the sleep, restart, and shutdown function there? If you have those working completely, could you post your solution? (I have tested that, the fix kext for the 10.5.6 didn't work for 10.5.7; and my fix didn't work for 10.5.8). Thanks!

Shutdown and restart worked great AFTER REMOVING the "AppleHPET.kext" from S/L/E. I haven't yet tested sleep but it has always been somewhat of an issue on each and every hackintosh machine I have used. (I will try it out tonight and let you know if it works; if I have issues there is one fix that I might try and will post results of that as well if needed)

I believe that is the same as my Wifi card; I got it working OOTB by using the "arch=x86_32" flag (in com.apple.Boot.plist) and using the "-f" flag on first boot; Still not working yet in 64-bit mode.

None of your drives will appear on the desktop in Snow Leopard as they have with previous versions of Mac OSX; You need to enable this in the "preferences" page for Finder.

NTFS is available by default in Snow Leopard, however WRITE access is not; You'll need to install NTFS-3G (NTFS-3G: Stable Read/Write NTFS Driver) and enabled 32-bit mode in Snow Leopard for the drivers to work (add the "arch=x86_32" flag under the Kernal Flags section of your com.apple.Boot.plist file (usually found in "/Volumes/<Snow Leopard Partition/Extra") and also force the drivers on first launch by using the "-f" flag.
    i have a nvidia geforce 9500gt 1gb

Not sure exactly what indicates quartz being enabled, but from what I've read it's best detected if the "smooth" fade-ins of wallpapers happen with that particular photos screensaver (which they do), or if you can get transparency with the Apple menu bar on the top of the screen (which I do) or by using certain functions with expose...

But as far as my graphics card under system profiler, I get the following:

    Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT [G92]:

Chipset Model: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT [G92]

Default Succesfull install without bios patching

Hi, I succeeded in installing snow leopard on my m9441.it without patching the BIOS.
I managed to get it working using chameleon dstd override function.
Basically I patched my DSDT using this patcher http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...owtopic=142434

I copied the patched DSDT.aml file on the root snow leopard volume.
AFAIK every thime chameleon boots, it get the DSDT of the original BIOS and changes it with the patched version.

    Hope it helps,
    tulindo
