    I'm glad to help.

The 230m work with the same method and the link to my blog is on my signature area. The one thing is the Graphic Card won't show 1gb in the Graphics/Display.

Arrow (HOW TO) Install Snow Leopard on i7 processor

Recap of the "Snow Leopard OS" Installation on Intel i7 processor:

1)- Download Empire EFI Legacy and burn the .iso image on a CD.

2)- Install "Snow Leopard OS X".

3)- Install "Mac OS X v10.6.3 v1.1 Update (Combo)" and Reboot.

    4)- After rebooting install "cudadriver_2.3.1a_macos.pkg"

    5)- Replace "System/Library/Display,Extensions,Frameworks,
Graphics,bPrivateFramework" from "System" folder and "Clean kext cache, repair Permissions and Reboot.

    6)- Install "Library.rar" files (Library/LaunchAgents,Preference
Panes/HDMI audio output settings) Sound work Perfect with VoodooHDA-0.2.61. (0.2.2 works horrible) I've attached it into S/L/Extensions folder just to be install. some people are having issues after installing the VoodooHDA preferencepane file, if that happens, just delete it and just install the kext. There's always a WORKAROUND for everything.

7)- Next after rebooting, Install "ATI ATY_init.kext" modify (remember to use Kexthelper or other program to install it) and repair permissions and reboot.

8)- After that just install the Card reader kext, and Ethernet kext.

If after replacing the "System" files your system didn't improve, you can try upgrading your "GeForce's kext" (Link below). Those kext were released on MacBook Pro update along with the other ones.

We installed "AppleSmartBatteryManager.kext" and it fixed a issue that the DV7t had with the battery draining too fast.

By the way, when you download a kext from any site check what it has inside. we had found some kexts that are empty inside.

Here's what is working: Updated 05/24/10

    - mouse and trackpad work out of the box.
    - all the USB port work out of the box
    - Bluetooth Work out of the box
    - WebCam work out of the box
    - Sound work Perfect with VoodooHDA-0.2.61. (0.2.2 works horrible)
    - CD/DVD work out of the box.
    - Firewire work out of the box
    - HDMI port work fine
    - Ethernet works using RealtekR1000.kext
    - IEEE 1934 Controllers work out of the box
    - all PCI work out the box
    - Battery (Icon) work out of the box
    - The Integrated Remote Control (DV7t) Work after upgrading system files.
    - keyboard sound control works after Installing VoodooHDA-0.2.61.
    - Card Reader working with JMicron.IOSDHCI.kext (DV7t have JMB38X)
    (Download it here: JMicron.IOSDHCI.kext.zip

    - GeForce's kext.rar (19.5.2f18 Released with Macbook Pro Update,GeForce.kext, GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle, GeForceGA.plugin, GeForceGLDriver.bundle, GeForceVADriver.bundle)

How to Boot up "Empire EFI Legacy" without the CD..(After Snow Leopard OS Installation)

After the Installation just open "Empire EFI" CD and copy all the file. (see image below)

and Paste them into "Snow leopard OS folder. (see image below)

after that just reboot and it will load your Empire EFI from your HD.

Note: In the "Extra folder" you can delete the "Post-Installation folder", it's up to you to leave it or delete.

I hope this can help you!

Unfortunately that can't be done, unless you have a window based program to make a new partition for Snow leopard OS. I always use a new hard driver and I install Mac OS first then windows OS. Also when dealing with hackintosh machine always have to make room for mistakes, meaning something can go wrong and the need for installation. My advice to you is use a new hard drive and install macOS then windows 7, if you by any reason need to re-install MacOS you won't mess up your original drive with all those pre-install programs. So, is up to you. After you're completely sure that your system is stable, then you install windows OS.

    Angry Gt 330m

    Hello ExtraSpeed,

Thank you for trying to help us. A LOT of time is being wasted trying to get this to work. I'm hoping you can help.

I have a Sony VAIO VPCF115FM with GT 330M and am trying to get the video fully working on the laptop's display (it works fine on the external HDMI).

Here is what I have done:

    1) Installed 10.6.3
    2) Updated with Combo Update 10.6.3 v1.1
    3) Updated with MBP Software Update 1.3
    4) Got your .RAR files "System" and "Library"
    5) Extracted them each to a folder and copied the folders to the machine
    6) Opened each extracted folder such as, "System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-610" and then copied the files in that folder to the same path on my VAIO. I did this for each folder.

However, I would sometimes get some errors like saying "Could not copy file because file already exists". This is even after I authorized with my password. So then I would just delete everything in the VAIO's folder and replace it with everything from yours. (gave password of course every time asked).
    7) For files for the /Extensions folder, I first copied those in, then dragged them to KextHelper and installed.
    8) After that, I used Disk Utility to fix permissions on my OS X drive. However, every time I re-run fix permissions, it always finds problems. I could run it 100 times and it would always find problems, a LOT of problems. Of course when I rebooted... no improvement. Still 1280x1024, no QE/CI.
    9) Also the pref pains don't work either. I tried them both in /S/L/PrefPanes and ~/L/PrefPanes. Nothing but errors.

    What am I doing wrong?

OK I HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION: I don't think I should have to copy all of the files from MBP Software Update 1.3 over. I was able to use the Installer and install it just as if it was on an actual Mac. So I shouldn't have to copy those files right? That is probably why I was getting those "files already exist" messages. What do you think?

Your help is SO MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Try first using the new partition you had already created and see if that works, if doesn't then you can try from scratch. Using Dual Boot required 2 different partition; one format NTFS for Mac and Fat-Dos format for Windows.

After selecting your hard drive click on Partition.
Under Volume Scheme, click current and select 1 partition.
Under Volume Information, name your hard drive.
    Format: Free Space
    Click Apply
    Click Partition
After selecting your hard drive click on Partition.
Under Volume Scheme, click current and select 1 partition.
Under Volume Information, name your hard drive.
Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled)At the bottom of the window Click on the Options Button.
    Select the GUID Partition Table
    Click OK
    Click Apply
    Click Partition
    Quit Disk Utilities
    and Install "Snow Leopard OS".

I hope this can help you!
