Heyyo,
I've had Success putting 10.6.0 Snow Leopard Retail on my Gateway NV5909H with built in support for my Atheros AR5007 wireless, keyboard and webcam (Touchpad not yet, glhfdd on ATi 5650 Mobility support.. might try and inject my device ID into an ATi driver and see if it explodes or not..).

use iBoot, then MultiBeast once you have 10.6.2 or higher installed (but not restarted!). Natively supports pretty much any Intel Core i series cpu (like my notebook's i3-330M), so it works fine vanilla! just remember when you do a combo update to put back the mach_kernel from iBoot to continue native support on your Core i cpu.
[EDIT1]
YES, it is possible to do dual boot.. kinda a pain in the rear to do.. how I did it:

[EDIT2]
I'm not using the new 10.6.3 retail disk.. that one cuts out my USB mouse and messes up my keyboard.. Kernel Panic if I try and upgrade to it with apple_smc_platform.. so avoid it. I'm using 10A432, so the original retail disk.
