Default Guide: how to install ideneb on HP Pavillion dv6xxx AMD

I used iDeneb v1.5.1 10.5.7 (search on internet, you will find it)

    1.Just download the .iso
2.burn it on a DVD disc (i used "ultra iso") burn it slow (i used "x4")

3.then put the DVD into your pc and restart
4.if you have not set the bios to boot from DVD then you must do this or you must press a button so you can choose where to boot from (i think it's f9)
5.the DVD will boot, just press F8 so you have more boot options.
    6.type "-v" and press enter.
    7.iDeneb wil startup now.
    7.a If there's an error try different boot options: -f -x -v
8.Once ideneb starts just follow the instructions untill you must select your HD to install it on.
9.in the upper bar press on utility>disk utility
    10. select the drive/partition to install > click on erase > choose Mac os Journaled> call the partition whatever you like> click on the erase button
10.a if you have vista installed on your computer you should first make another partition, or format your HD(not recommended)
    11. once done, close the disk utility and your HD should appear
    12.click on it en proceed
    13. this is IMPORTANT: choose costomize and select this:

    NOTE:
-I selected everything on the network because i tried so many but none of them worked. I have a ATHEROS 5007
if anyone can help me with that i would be very thankfull!

-If you have a Video card with more ram, then select the appropriate nvinject for your card.

-Audio works fine, but you can't use headphones ( if someone knows how to fix this....)

    -Don't bother the MCP67 chipset, i have a MCP65 and it works.

Try it for yourself and let me know if it worked!, PM ME IF YOU HAVE SOLUTIONS!

I was wondering if it was possible to get this to work on the HP with the AMD.

Are all the fixes you used so far, to get wifi and all working, what you have selected in the photos?

Do you know if you can update it or will that cause problems? I've got iDeneb on my Dell 2200 and it works almost flawlessly without most of the fixes. For example, I didn't even select wifi or anything like that and it works perfectly.

On my HP, the wifi must work, haha. If you've got it going since your last post, hopefully you'll reply with the information.

    Thanks!

The image posted is working fine for me, I don't know about others however.

One thing I think that is left out of the image is which bootloader was picked. I followed the above post and mine doesn't boot, which I left out the bootloader.

I'm going to reinstall tomorrow and this time use the V2 Chameleon bootloader and see how it goes. I'll post my results here when I finally figure out how to get it to install and work. The HP that I'm installing on is a DV6409wm.

Well, it's not possible to install OSX onto an HP DV6409wm with the AMD Turion 64 x2 processor, especially since it's Nvidia 430 chipset.

I've tried the iDeneb v1.5.1 patched and iPC 10.5.6 Universal PPF5 final.

I've tried just about every combo of bootloader, chipset and kernel that is on those two distros, no other distro will even boot. It seems apparent (to this somewhat newbie) that for them to boot and install on the laptop I'm working on, you gotta have a patched version.

Maybe there are patches out there that could be added to these or other distros to make them work...but I have no idea where they are. Seems you have to be in the secret society or something to get that type of information, I can't seem to make that group.

For those interested, either of those distros will install perfectly. When you reboot however, no matter whether you tick the CPUS=1 fix/patch or whatever you call it, you still have to boot with -cpus=1 or it gives a stupid error message about some plist thing or something.

It will attempt to boot after that however and it will get you to the white screen with the Apple logo in the middle. But using -v you can see that it's hanging on something about the firewire guid being invalid and picking to disable firewire or whatever has no effect on that. It also says that the AppleNforceATA thing doesn't detect any drives and no matter which chipset driver you pick, you ain't getting nowhere. I've been doing this for 3 days almost straight around the clock now, crack can't keep my eyes open any longer to mess with this thing. If there is a correct combination in either of these distros, then I've missed it and I'm just plain stupid. If it's a patch somewhere or some other solution...then I can find it on this site or anywhere else either.

So, if you have the AMD powered DV6409wm and it's Nforce chipset, I guess you might as well forget it. If anyone has a solution, by all means please step up and tell me how easy it is to fix this problem. I knew better than buy a dag-on AMD machine again...

    @ elinho....

Did you pick the AppleNforceATA kext when you did your install? It's been awhile since I've messed with this but seems like you have to install that or something like it to get OSX to detect your SATA drive(s). Without that, I think this whole Hackintosh thing relies on IDE drives to function properly to begin with.

Go back and make sure you installed that, try again. Some distro's will allow you to go back and just install what you left out or skipped without doing a whole fresh install again. Not sure about yours. Just restart your install, uncheck everything and then pick the AppleNforceATA kext or fix or whatever they call it. And then try rebooting and see what happens. Seems like that is what others were told when they had the problem you listed.
