I've read about problems with bootloaders if MacOS system is in a partition above 4. Mine is in partition 5. Could be any problem? Must Chamaleon be installed in partition 2 (windows) or partition 5 (mac)?

How did you, guys, solved this issue (if somehow exists)?

Even better: Is there any downloadable HD image of the whole thing, so it could be cloned to hard disk?

I believe that is possible at most 4 active partition! for more active partitions to install so you should create a logical partition? 5 therefore do not think that just might work ... or rather not even know how you did it to install it.
I have had problems with logical partitions and I was satisfied with only two active partitions for xp and macosx.
The bootloader is installed in osx, and uses the mbr of the disk to boot.
The bootloader recognizes partitions linux osx and xp to vista I do not know!

After having a bit of a graphics fiasco with the 10.5.7, I was skeptical this time around.

However, if you have EFI (GFX) strings, you may use the attached patch. (upload failed so go to nightalon.googlepages.com/workshop) If you run it from your desktop, it will generate two kexts, one for the GMA950, one for the Intel Framebuffer, and it will place them on your desktop. You can then proceed to install them using OSX86Tools.

Note that the extension names will be different. If you prefer, you can rename them to their non "-27ae" names before installing them. Then upon the next update, they will be overwritten and you will again lose resolution/QE/CI capabilities. However, some other portion of the update may not like the fact that you have loaded a "foreign" (read "out of date") extension that it doesn't recognize and refuse to let your system boot. In which case all you'd need to do is boot into single-user mode manually.

In a perfect world, though, having the extensions with a different name is actually better, since you won't lose graphics capability after the next update. You will just need to patch your GPU kexts separately to make them up-to-date as well.

What is the best kernel right now and can someone upload it? I was never able to get a stable copy of AnV working, and so am working with Voodoo's alpha-3. Of course vanilla is still an option if I don't want hyper-threading.

I'm in, and it doesn't crash/reboot. Working on getting full graphics acceleration and 10.6.1. WIFI (BCM 432b/4322) and Attansic Ethernet are both working.

Graphics acceleration is working. Of course there's no 64-bit support, but who really cares? This is a netbook, neither a workstation nor a server. Unfortunately Netbook Installer is NOT the way to go, so I installed from my desktop, added Chameleon RC3, VoodooPS2, FakeSMC, NullCPUPower, IntelPIIXATA, IOATA, Attansic, IONetworking, and the GMA950 kexts I generated by running 27ae.sh. (27ae is available at nightalon.googlepages.com/workshop; Netkas made FakeSMC and IntelPIIXATA) Now the Acer reports itself as a MacPro2,1, which is a little weird.

By the way, with Snow Leopard both cores of HyperThreading are working! NullCPU seems to be the necessary condition.

Oh well, at least everything works this way, including my touchscreen! (the original controller shorted and went bad, and the seller was nice enough to replace it for free)

How did you install leo snow on Netbook? can put the drivers online?

I finally got Mac OSX to install after finding this tutorial. I have done whatever the first post on this thread did, but now I cannot get the software update to update anything. The progress bar starts, stops about 1/5 of the way and never continues further.

Any help??

i manage to put mac os x 10.5.7 to my acer aspire one but i can't install the kext for my network with kext helper...is there a tutorial on how to do that?

I have a msi wind u110 eco witch is like u100. I have manage to boot from installation usb but I cannot see my internal hard disk. I have connect an external usb hd and installed snow leo on it. Can anyone tell why I cannot see my internal hd?
