Default OSX loops boot up forever.

Hi, I am one of the few that get stuck in the boot up loop. When I start the Virtual Machine the grey screen appears with the apple logo, and the progress marker continues to spin and spin. I Let it try for about 30 minutes. No Go.

    Here Are My System Specs
    ------------------------
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ (MMX, 3DNOW, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, x86-64)
    M2N SLI Deluxe
    4GB Corsair Memory
    NVidia GeForce 7600 GT
    VMware Workstation 6.0.4 build-93057

It seems to me by reading through the threads that the people with the Athlon 64 X2 cpu's are having this problem. Though I might be wrong.

I am unable to enter "-v" during boot up to see the boot details. Is there another way I can see where the boot process hangs?

I have a MAC, it's just a heck of a lot easier to program cross-platform software on 1 machine , So I would love to get this working.

Any Pointers in the right direction would be absolutely awesome to me and the others who are having this common issue. And thanks for your great work non the less

Same issue here. I have an iPod and plan to develop some apps. I have a MacBook, but it died this morning and I'm just gonna toss that beast.

I purchased an HP Pavillion Elite in June, and was surprised to see instructions specifically for that machine on here.

Regarding VMWare, I've had issues with it in the past, causing other parts of Vista to fail. Not sure if those issues were fixed (can't remember the exact troubles it caused though).

In any case, I'm assuming that since only 10.5.4 releases are available for PC, you'll have to install those first, then run the Mac Update to get 10.5.5

Can anyone confirm that that's how to get 10.5.5?
