Click Add and from the dialog that comes up, choose Ethernet Adapter and click Next " But when I start up my VMware player, I do not have a VM menu with "settings," only preferences regarding "exit behaviour" and "checking for updates"

please advise what I'm doing wrong...

    thanks.
You need to use Vmware Workstation to make ethernet work sorry.
Vmware player doesn't allow you to change settings.
Grab a free trial of vmware workstation at vmware's site.
As i always have said, this is a temporary method to Try Leopard, if you like it then buy a mac

First post on this forum, hi. I'm really sorry if my questions are duplicated, but I don't want to wade through the entire thread.

First of all, are there different versions of this on teh torrents? i.e. has there been any developments of this release since the first post that I should be specifically downloading?

Secondly, does this version allow the usual OS X features - updating, etc?

Thirdly, how stable has it been for everyone?

I plan to use it with VMWare Workstation and not Player, running on a Dell Precision T7400 to start with. I have OS X licenses.

Default mac os x on vmware

    Hi!

I want to install mac os X on vmware, just to try it out a bit! I tried kalyway_leo_10.5.1.iso but it gets stuck on the screen with the apple logo on it and the "loading-circle".
then I tried Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso this also won't work! I get an error every time!

    here some screens what I get with Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso :

I have all of the necessary files downloaded and extracted. However, I am using VMWare Workstation 6.5 and have no idea how to even get started. If someone could please give me a step by step. I am not sure where I need to go or what file I need to use. Sorry, thanks for the help.

can someone tell me why i am getting this error i have both workstation and player?
Device ide0:0 is configured as the virtual disk file "C:\Users\Miguel\Documents\FreeBSD 64-bit.vmdk". This virtual disk was created as a SCSI disk with SCSI geometries. It cannot be used as an IDE disk.

    Hi.
Open VMWare workstation and then go to file --> open and then open the .vmx you downloaded (the actual Leopard Files). Once it's opened it hit 'start this virtual machine' and your done.

Mac: Try going to VM then go to settings (or hit CTRL+D) and click the the hard disc, hit advanced and make sure its on IDE 0:0.

It always says that with me but doesn't effect it. It just saying that it was build on a 64-bit machine and your running it on a 32-bit machine i think.
    That doesn't matter.
Im guessing its working now ?

Default MAC OS X higher than 10.5.4 in VMWare?

    Hi.
I'm a beginner in the OS X scene, but i've got an iPhone in a long time. So i would like to try developing my own application to it.
As i'm running Windows Vista right now, i would like to install the OS X in VMWare, but i'm unsure how to do that!

I've read in another forum, that you need an OS X version higher than 10.5.4 to get the iPhone SDK installed, so i've got the "Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail"
I have also got the Kalyway 10.5.2 and right now i'm downloading the JaS 10.5.4... As i don't know which of them i could use!

Is it possible to install and use the XCode and iPhone SDK enviroment in VMWare?

    Best Regards
    Thomas Jespersen

I have step by step this but have several issues.
i putted the bios and installed like is in the post, but when i upgraded to 10.5.5 the system doesn't boot, only if i boot with "-x -v" or "-x -f -v". Another thing is that i have windows vista in one sata HD and MAC in another sata HD. What hapened is that with the usb boot, only the mac hd is showed and the windows vista hd is missing. That meens that i always have one choice, that is to boot mac and not vista.
now i have all working on the retail instalation (10.5.4). Sound, dvd, bluetooth, dvd, internet. i dont't know why but cannot performe time machine in the same hd 2nd partition. Only thing now is the usb boot that don't recognize the vista HD and cannot upgrade to 10.5.5 without have problems. Please anyone help me. thanks
