Well I searched for the kexts for my hardware (which is exactly same as yours) but failed to find any, hence I am stuck with the installed OS with non-functioning display, ethernet and audio.

Meanwhile, I also tried various distros from Hazard iAtkos but none of them worked. So only option I am left with is to request you, if you would mind making a machine image and sharing it with me. I know its way too much to ask for but since you managed to get everything worked, I guess, thats the only way. I don't even know if you can really make an image and restore like you can in windows. If you wish to help me out, this is a sincere request. No worries if you don't want to though..

    Thanks in advance.
I definitely would, but the thing is, my connection is horrid... And my upload speed is next to nothing. It would take me weeks to upload it. Sorry man.

No worries mate. I got super fed up with this stuff and decided to go for a mac mini. Restored Acer to the factory settings.
Thanks for taking efforts to write this tutorial. May be someone else can make best use of it.

Default successful installation of Mac Lion (10.7.2) - acer 5740G

    Hi guys,

Here is the post on Youtube of what you got after the successful installation of Lion (10.7.2). I used the iAtKOS L1 which is Lion 10.7.1. When you finished install, just need to run the "Software Update" and you will have 10.7.2. It also fixes screen resolution issues which many "hackintoshers" toss their hair for it. Check the link below:
