Somewhere in this post is link to RS.com but here is it

I guess that I am a late starter, it seems that everyone has their machines switched over to Mac, and I am just starting.
I'm hoping to find a near flawless install of OSX86 on to the Toshiba NB200, but it is proving to be a challenge. So far I have installed iATKOS v.7 twice (once upgrading to 10.5.8, next time not), iDeneb 1.5.1 once (wrong video kext hung up and I gave up), and iDeneb 1.6 (no sound and sleep issues). I am currently downloading an .iso of iPC v1.5.6 to try. I couldn't find iDeneb v1.3.
I have wingzero's install zip and a few other kext for ethernet and bluetooth.
So I ask if anyone has found solutions to the following issues:
- bluetooth off after wake from sleep
- static in sound after wake from sleep
- no trackpad pref in system preferences, no tap-to-click
These are the three things that seem to be deal breakers to me in terms of useability. Comments?
Hey idleBrain, I'm not sure about Bluetooth as my model does not have it. With static after sleep i remember reading about a fix once, by memory what it done was Unload the sound kext and then reloaded it once it came out of sleep. Don't ask where or how as i don't know, i still have that problem... But for tap to click and all that should be there as long as you installed the VoodooPS2Controllor.kext (i think). Worked fine for me.
I'm using 10.6.1 now, you can find a guide for the NB200 http://www.hackint0sh.org/f217/89878.htm <there. Although you need another mac to do that, or you can install 10.5 on the nb200 then set up your usb then install it but you wont want to make a mistake because then you would have to install 10.5 on it again. But that's the method i used.
I hope you where able to use that information and understand just say if you need more detail on any of it.

I followed a combination of Wing's guide (I guess the post is missing? I found a RTF of the steps on another site, somehow). I started with iDeneb 1.6 (based on 10.5.8). In the course of the instructions, I wound up installing a bunch of kexts from ToshibaNB205Essentials Package2.zip, and a fix from Toshiba_NB205_Ethernet_Fix.zip. I had a few minor issues:
* for some reason the sound was finicky, and still won't auto-select based on whether the headphone jack is being used or not. Pretty much works now ... of course, no driver can make the onboard speakers not totally suck
* could only safeboot until I went in and deleted IOATAFamily.kext (based on some Googling). That helped, though now I get a (non-fatal) warning/error during verbose boots that that kext is missing. Maybe there are other kexts I don't need that I should get rid of?
* once, something must have gotten corrupted because I was getting kernel panics on a normal boot (again, safe mode was fine) in something audio-related. Using OSX86tools to reset permissions and clear caches fixed that one, though.
* I disabled sleep because sometimes it wasn't coming back up -- the power light would come on but the screen would stay black, no HDD activity. Not a big deal for my use case, but would be nice to solve
* I still have intermittent kernel panics either while the screen saver is running or even just sitting at the desktop, with maybe Pages and/or a browser window open, not really *doing* anything.
It's that last thing that prompted me to post. I have some pictures of panic screens but I really don't know the first thing about solving them. I can post them here, if that helps, or I can try to find a more appropriate forum. Any advice either way would be most welcome.

Hi Guys,
Can you guys help me with my nb205 hackintosk? I installed 10.5.7 with iAtkos v7 (which nobody seemed to have used) and I cannot get the sound or trackpad to work. As for the sound I tried many different kexts like: APPLE AC97, VOODOOHDA and APPLEHDA. For the trackpad, I just tried VOODOOPS/2 and APPLEPS/2. Please help me to enable sound and the trackpad. Do you know if the Airlink101 wireless usb dongle will work with the hackintosh.

Download WingZero's Essential Package, link is few posts higher. For trackpad prefpane search this and 10.6 thread. Maybe is also in package a bit higher probably not.
