Sure: use the restore option on any mac and restore the ISO DVD Image to your HD and boot from there. That's all...
    my -workplace:
    - several iMac G3
    - a MacBook (Intel DualCore)
    - a MacMini (Intel DualCore)
    - an eeeMAC (Asus eeePC 1000HGo)
running iPC 10.5.6 from the LiveDVD

How can I boot from a iDeneb v1.4 DVD when I'm stucking with "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button."? Is a special boot image necesasry or what's my mistake/problem?

    I'm using a Asus EeePC 1003 HAG:
    - Intel Atom N270@1,6 Ghz
    - 1 GB DDR2 RAM
    - Intel GMA950 Accelerator
    - Intel 945 GSE Chipset (or similar Express Chipset I think)
    - 160 GB HDD (with Windows 7 installed, currently about 90 GB free memory)
    - USB DVD/CD drive

    EDIT:
With the Boot-132 I was able to get a step foward! But now I'm stucking at "Kernel version:
Dawin Kernel Version 9.2.0: Sun Mar 2 00:11:08 SCT 2008; made by ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386"
    What now to do?

First of all: RTFM (Read the F**G Manual!)

    - There is no need for a Bios-Update
    - You have to start with iDeneb 1.3 (10.5.5)
    - Then you can update step by step to 10.5.7 (a good howto for the update can be found here: How-to: Install OS X on Asus Eee PC 1000HE Netbook | Netbooks & Small Form Factor Computers | Small Computing)

    Cheers,

    Hi Balu

I picked up a 1000HGO yesterday and have been trying to put OSX on it today, with no luck. I've just noticed that the version of iDeneb I have is actually 1.4, which I can get to install, but the machine hangs on reboot. I know you say 1.3 is required (and I expect to get shot down in flames for asking this), but is there a reason why 1.4 doesn't work but 1.3 does?
I'll need to see how much bandwidth I have when I get home and go hunting for 1.3, I reckon.

You mention that the version of the BIOS doesn't matter, which is good, as I've just updated to the latest one.

    Thanks for the great guide.

    Cheers

    Doug

    Morning

Have just tried following the instructions again this morning, this time with iDeneb 1.3 and am getting a kernel panic (power logo, please hold power button etc etc) message on the very first reboot. Just to make sure I'm doing this exactly the same way you are, would you mind letting me know what BIOS version you're using?

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    Doug
