Installation iDeneb 10.5.7 on HP dc7600 small (everything working)
I have successfully get everything working on my HP dc7600 small!
My system:
Intel Pentium D 630 HT @ 3.0GHz
Intel HD audio
Broadcom lan
All basic system
Installation iDeneb 10.5.7
Selected options:
Voodoo kernel
GMA950 Intel
Seatbelt fix
Voodoo HDA audio
After installation get the file from internet: gma950desktop.pkg, install and reboot.
Now you can change the resolution.
Get: Kexthelper b7 from internet and: AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext.
Open kext helper b7 and drag the Broadcom kext in the app.
Putt in your password and install. After the installation you will get a message that the networkcard is found. set up your connection and that's it!
I've tested it on 2 HP dc7600 machines and all works great! On the seccond one i have even installed iDeneb 10.5.7 on an external drive.
Today i trien to install Snow Leopard on my 2nd HP dc7600.
This also worked accept for the audio (for now)
Selected options:
Chameleon v2 RC4
32-bit boot
Qoopz 10.3.0
Sleep Enabler
UUID
Intel SATA/IDE
Voodoo PS/2
After successfull installation i used kext helper b7 to install first ethernet (AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext)
Reboot
And installed the graphic driver via kext helper b7 (AppleintelintegratedFramebuffer.kext)
Reboot
Everything works fine accept for the audio.
Audio is fixed now, after a reinstall i removed the AppleHDA and VoodooHDA driver during the installation-options.
After that using kext helper b7 to install Azalia.
Als my language works (Dutch). I am testing if i can update....

Hello everyone,
I'm new here and had some questions.
1) is my laptop compatible?
HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx Entertainment Notebook PC
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T6500, 2 processing cores, 800 MHz System bus, 2mb l2 cache, and 2.1GHz Processor
4GB DDR2 Memory
Multiformat DVD +/- / CD-RW drive with dual layer support
320 GB SATA Hard drive
Intel Graphics Media Acceloator 4500MHD
Built in web camera with microphone
5 in 1 digital media card reader
built in high speed wireless lan
Built in 10/100 Base T-Ethernet Lan
Microsoft Windows Vista Home premium 64 bit edition operating system
2) If it IS compatible, where could I find a guide for it? would a guide for one similar to mine work?
3) I don't have either the Vista Install/Recovery Disk or a Leopard Install disk, will it work if I download one, and then burn it to a DVD?
4) If i do end up doing it, will it erase everything on my current hard drive even if I set up a partition for it?
5) Anything else I should know?
thanks
