I just tried installing this on my gigabyte P35 mb and c2d cpu, it goes through the whole install process, then at the end it says you need to power off the computer and restart, I do that and it just immediately brings the same screen back up.. says to power off and restart.. ideas?

I just registered to say many thanks for the walkthrough. Not that it worked but the psychology of that it was seen to work was the big help.
I have GA -EP45-DS3Lr-DS3l. quad core 2.66. 2 sata drives and 1 IDE.
MSI nx8800gt. 4gb 1066 ram.
Siig Firewire 800 pci-32t
Focusrite ext firewire saffire sound card
netgear GA311 pci Ethernet card

Kalway 10.2.2 installed first time last Autumn, I just had to add a (easy to find NVInstallerV.33 video driver and a mass usb support. It motors fine. I could potter around at my leisure to install 10.5.5
iDeneb 10.5.5 did not install properly without tweaking a bit with best guesses on a few of the patches.
What eventually worked for me after 10 or so attempts
was ticking to install,
SMBIOS for 1066 ram
video - NV incet? 021 512gb
chipset - Apple nForce ata (the general older one)
Everything else from the extras were left untouched
I don't know how stable it is yet, but so far it's sucking diesel.

Install, and all that works just fine! But when i have to boot after install, it just boot and then a little circle thing come up.

I did this, installed again and hey! still no good..
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with patches, my graphic card is not even supported.. But i'm kinda stupid at this..

Ive been selecting all different customizations, but it seems that this guide doesnt select any?

I will try doing this ( ive got AMD), installing ideneb with minimal patches, and then report back

tried an install with AMD patch *NOTHING ELSE*

got the grey apple screen, spinning loading icon span then just got stuck.

Yeah I think people need to understand that OSX was NOT designed to work on a PC so it's amazing enough that it even works period.

hello im new to this mac os thing on pc. i need help installing iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 on my custom-built computer. here are the specs for it:

motherboard: asus p5bv-c (its a server board)
processor: intel xeon 3110
hard drive: 320 gb western digital sata
memory: 4 gb kingston non-ecc 667 ram (2 sticks of ram each 2 gb)
graphics card: visiontek 3870 oc 512 mb ram

Do i need to install this onto a blank hd? I tried to install on this computer with xp and it came up with error before the apple screen even loaded.
Also when you burn it to disk is it just the 1 file or do i have to unzip the file and burn all the files to disk.
