Yes, my sATA was set to AHCI and I typed it without the quotes.
I also tried with a "-x", but same thing.
When I add "-v" I can see that it hangs on a message that mainly says "Waiting for boot volume with UUID..." and then repeats a "still waiting for root device" error.

it's not the same mobo, but I tried so many configurations that I thought this one wouldn't hurt
my mobo is asus p6t.
I'm buying some dual-layer dvds in a few hours and I'll try with retail.

Thanks for the suggestions, icchansan!
just a quick question before I try those changes... would I need to keep my motherboard changed, or can I change it back after the install (not only the HT & cores, that is)?
and which retail installation of leopard do I need? 10.5.0? 10.5.5? 10.5.6?
Thanks again.

Not really sure if you can change back after install, you need them back for windows tho.
For retail version you better try with 10.5.6 or up, but you can do with any version
Did you try to install iAtkos v7 with those changes using that boot flag?

icchansan,
not yet. the only changes I've made to the BIOS so far were the IDE/AHCI.
I'm doing some 3D project at the moment so I can't try new installs now, but I'll try to install iAtkos v7 with the BIOS changes and those flags. Hope I'll actually get past the boot
By the way, installing applications on the osx86 works the same as on a native mac? And more specific, could I install the iPhone SDK 3.0 on it?
Thanks for all the help.
Edit:
in case you get a chance to see this before I install it. Do you have a suggestion regarding the customize selection for my board?

I'm finishing "interactive communications" studies, and part of that was 3DS Max. Modeling, Animation, Basic Rigging, Basic Particles, Basic Texturing and stuff like that.
What I'm doing right now is the final project and it's gonna be an interactive journey in the solar system while explaining stuff and tell of new discoveries in a way of self exploration (or something
) And it's gonna be in interactive 3D with graphics like (hopefully) the tv space series (like "The Universe").
here's some stuff I've done during the studies if you wanna see... they're not really finish, but it was a good exercise.
