I read that a few of us had this little problem. But, I couldn´t find nowhere the answer. I have an old sim from 1997 and I read that woron scan can´t read every card. This is my output:

Communication problem... closing COM port...
The real speed is 9600..
There is a card in Phoenix device:
ATR:
3F 2F 00 80 69 AF 02 04 01 36 00 07 0A 0E 83 3E
9F 16
Communication problem... closing COM port...
Can't select 3F00 file

He finds ATR but then stops to work. Tryed to change ports and speed, but no luck till now. Please help me out, cheers

got the same problem with 3 V1 candidates from the same provider. all new ones work

I have noticed that this very old cards atr have this lenght:

3F 2F 00 80 69 AF 02 04 01 36 00 07 0A 0E 83 3E 9F 16

while my newer Sim (v3) atr is longer. it seems that woron scan tryes to read more and stops because he don´t finds the rest of the code. now, can I change this somewhere? atr lenght?

I have the same problem and I think I'll try a prepaid from Sunrise...
But someone on this site has a Iphone supersimed with Swisscom.
He send me a private mail to tell me that. I've asked him how he does...
I'll let you know as soon as I get the info.
