I apologise now if I seem a bit dippy but I'm new to all of this

I recently bought an iPhone in the USA which is locked to the AT&T network. My plan was to bring it back to the UK and get it unlocked for O2 pay-as-you-go, however, the iPhone I got is a week 50 so as you all probably know there isn't an unlock available yet

My question is, if I got the TurboSIM, would this unlock the SIM so that I could use it on O2 pay-as-you-go? And also, would it make the phone fully functional and would there be problems with the bootloader 4.6?

I know the search function is alien to many, but all the information that you need is available. Have a look at this section about Sim unlocks. It does require a lot of reading, but worth the effort.

Its a shame you didn't buy in the UK as all you have to have done (WK50 iphone) was restore to 1.1.1, jailbreak, and then upgrade to 1.1.2. Then the iphone would have worked with a PayG O2 sim!
