[TurboSim] Backing up SMS/Full restore/No SIM Installed...
Hi all, 5 things really, I'd appreciate any help:
Firstly, I understand that iTunes backs up all the SMS, call logs and Notes everytime you sync... if I did a full software reset and started from scratch, would I be able to transfer all that data back onto my iPhone? I'm particularly interested in the SMS messages.
2, Is there an SMS download program for the PC? Everyone keeps talking about the one for Macs, but since PCs occupy quite a huge proportion of people you would have thought someone would make one for Windows? Am I missing it?
3, Bearing in mind I have a OTB UK 1.1.2 iPhone that I jailbroke and am using via TurboSIM... will a full system restore work and let me re-jailbreak it?
4, the reason I'm asking all these questions is this. Basically I've been using it with TurboSIM for a month with NO problems at all. Now lately it's been saying No SIM inserted. I'd do a soft reset, and it'll show up as T-Mobile intermitedly for a few minutes, then come up with the same 'No SIM' message. Has anyone run into this problem before? I don't think it's a problem with the TurboSIM, so I've requested a new T-Mobile sim to try out, maybe that will fix it. Has anyone had similar problems?
Finally, I'd ideally like to take my iPhone to a genius bar for them to have a look at it... is this possible given that I've jailbroken it... and erm... cut up the O2 sim card!?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Cheers

motion,
I had the same issue with a turbo sim. I got the no sim msg more and more often, altough the phone was sitting on the table..... But never the less I took out the turbo sim, re arranged the turbo sim and carrier sim, taped the damn thing up again and now it's working again without any probs.... so it could indeed come from the ts not having a good contact with the carrier sim....

I've taken it out and put it back a hundred times and it still won't work.
And I'm a little worried about covering my turbosim in tape?
Can anyone help with my other questions pleasE?
