As I mentioned in my post on Turbo-SIM (TSIM) thread - once my TSIM arrives i would post feedback on experience using my O2 contract SIM. And as many report on their own carriers - it works fully:

- GPRS
- SMS In & SMS Out
- Calls In & Calls Out

THanks to everyone who has helped with their knowledge, guides and support on this method. Hope every1 has as easy an installation as I did.

Just FYI Orange is the only network in the UK to have an EDGE service. Other operators don't have it. Might be worth switchin or having a second PayG line.

Once I get my TurboSim (hopefully) I will put it on Orange probably since they have EDGE.

Actually Vodafone have Edge in certain areas. I have a Blackberry Pearl and when I visited my parents who leave near to Hamble (down South sort of close to Southampton) I got Edge there.

I have never seen it anywhere else though!

Thats what I call "humble" EDGE only appears where your parents live. Very convenient.

Strange I thought that it was only Orange that bothered paying the costs of upgrading to EDGE because they just use Three's 3G network and other carries though whats the point lets jump straight to 3G and skip 2.75G and save a few pennies.

Anyway Orange has more or less good coverage of EDGE I haven't used it for long but I did get EDGE most of the time in London.

Hi what settings did you use for GPRS on o2 UK? I having trouble getting it connected.

Would be great if you could PM or Post settings.

^ Using same settings as above - edge works great. It doesnt actually seem that slow as I was expecting.
