TMobile UK Working with TurboSIM

Well I got my turbo sim, and after some fiddling about I got it all working.

If you are interested I used the native port of the turbosim utils to load the .trb file.

All worked fine.

Only slight problem is that I get an error when attempting to connect to EDGE, which obviously i dont have.

I see no place to alter GPRS settings, so I just put the tmobile setting in the EDGE menu, and I just get an error on the iphone when I try to use the net: Could not connect to EDGE: You are not subscribed to EDGE....

(I have web and walk, so have unlimited GPRS, which is working fine on other phones)

Any ideas why this could be?

I mistyped the APN! All works fine now :-)

can you tell us how you did it? where did you order your turbosim from and how did you get the applesaft on it? thanks!

No, no youtube, I havent got round to modifying the certs yet.

There are plenty of tutorials regarding this already, I will simply be confusing the matter.

I ordered it directly from bladox.

should have got it on Orange... full EDGE services. It's pretty fast for everything too!

good for you man,hope we could get it done here too in Philippines. just dont know where to get the turbo sim from .

Forgive me if I'm asking as stupid question, but when you say you mistyped the APN, do you get a Network Settings menu on the iPhone when you use a TurboSIM that allows you to edit the APN, or do you do that via your Mac/PC using one of the GUI apps? I've got a legitimately-activated iPhone with a cancelled AT&T contract which works fine (YouTube included because it was AT&T activated) apart from phone calls of course, and wondered if I'll get the APN menu when I use the TurboSIM to allow me to use EDGE via my O2 SIM.. do I even have to "jailbreak" my phone?
TSIM arriving tomorrow... can't wait!
