    Default Thoughts on TurboSim

The Turbo Sim (TSim) has been proven to temporarily unlock (a patch from Apple can undo it all) the iPhone for sure. We have seen several reports on the forum from around the globe proving and confirming that. Bladox the Czech maker has sold out all their (TSim) within a day. Votech the only official agent in Gold Coast Australia has reported TSim sold out in couple of hours. According to Votech, Bladox has shutdown all other production lines to focus on making TSim. However, production has been further delayed due to the lack of raw materials. iPhone owners are getting desperate, as witness in the sales corner with people offering near thousand Aussie dollar for an $80 product. G-World in Mongkok, Hong Kong is charging a hefty HK$6,000 for a TSim unlock. That’s just crazy. People are getting way too desperate.

I can’t wait to get my hands on a TSim as well, but we must exercise caution as there will be opportunist and tricksters out there waiting to pounce. My point here is why the haste? A couple of weeks latest and I believe the TSim will be available with Bladox and Votech again.

Patience, my dear friends as they say, is a virtue.

I agree. The crazy prices being asked, and indeed paid for, for a Tsim is quite ridiculous.

I wonder what these people will do if a software lock becomes available next week or even next month.

Or have people lost faith in the Dev Team unlocking the iPhone?

It's also very dangerous for Bladox this situation. If they order 100'000 pieces, then at the same time an unlock comes out, they won't be able to sell them.

If patience is a virtue, there is no need for the Turbo SIM at all because once the unlock is available, all those Turbo SIM, Super SIM methods will be rendered useless/senseless and a lot of people will realize how much money they actually spent for getting the iPhone up and running.

Regarding the hype on the internet right now: I suppose most of us are intelligent adults who not only have the skills to learn about the iPhone and how to modify it but we should also realize how much SCAM is floating around the internet. If people fall for scam artists, I have no mercy, sorry to say that.
Reading all the threads/posts allows every intelligent and THINKING human being on this forum to understand what is going on and to understand that ordering from unconfirmed sources or sources which are completely new with their services poses a serious risk.

Apparently some people have their brains where others have something else (well, you heard that from your mama, didn't you? ) and
there are already enough cases of fraud regarding the iPhone, the Super SIM and the Turbo SIM.

Use your brain before ordering something, check with the threads/posts, check other websites, check with Google and you also should be aware that the friendly guy who is sending you a private message in the forum, offering you a good deal for something, may not be as friendly as you think. Being a user of this forum doesn't mean you can trust this person. During registration, only the eMail address is checked, nothing else.

PLEASE: be careful and don't believe every crap you read. If you read something which sounds to be too good to be true, it usually isn't true.
Check with other users, if you have serious doubts, ASK in the forum and don't be ashamed of doing it. Better to get a good laugh from experienced users than feeling sorry later on or even losing a lot of money.

I suppose the issue for a few people (probably with more money than sense too) is that they are starting the think the iPhone is not unlockable. They have been playing with the gadgets and a solution has not been found to date to free their iphone and rather that wait and still be left with nothing then they are moving forward with alternatives.

Can the hackers unlock the iPhone? i am not sure, but will keep waiting for a bit longer.

I cant also see Bladox having issues if the iPhone is unlocked tomorrow. Most people have had to pre pay for their Tsims. Bladiox are under no obligation to refund the money just because an alternative unlocking solution may be found, either way for them it seems like a big windfall.

You can feel that it won't be a short time to totally unlock the phone when you've gone through the threads in Dev Team.

Besides, there'll be iPhone offically for Asia & Euro market 2008 spring. People like me who bought the phone with no warranty in anywhere besides US would like to use it asap since we'll have only 7 months in advance to use it for lets say it comes in Asia & Euro on April 2008.

In US, I think the need for the TSim is not as large as the rest of the world as you can always choose to pay higher monthly plan to activate it through ATT if you're really died for it.

Taking myself for example, I don't mind if my phone can't make call as long as it can WiFi & iPod. Now someone tells you for extra 60 euro TSim you can enjoy all, why not give a try ? In fact it's not a try, it's confirmed to work. 600 Euro ?? Are you kidding ???

It's not being patient or not, some of us are running out of time coz' maybe 7 months later & fully function iPhone with Chinese input plus warranty will be in here.

A totally unlock solution is still the top priority as no one wants their phone carrier dependent. However, for the time being, enjoy the TSim if you're desperate for the call function.

    This is what I think
