Cheapset would be going in to a TICKET store, pick up a starterpack. Find a local SatCard programmer, buy a SilverCard and "lend" his hardware or buy some of his/hers time to do it.

Ordering the hole hardware setup just for yourself would be bout 800sek.

Thanks. But do you know which solution is the easiest, considering I don't have any experience in simcloning?

I own the first iPhone (activated, using a.plist) in Sweden and now I hope that I will soon use it with my carrier, Telia, here in Sweden.

I got the EDGE working with Tele2, no problems at all.

I suppose the Turbo SIM method and the Super SIM method are similar in regards to work, knowledge and cost.
Since V1 SIMs are difficult to find in most countries, the Turbo SIM method may be the better choice. Unfortunately this door apparently has been closed for now (the Turbo SIM distributor closed the eShop), so you may just want to sit tight and wait for the unlock solution to come.

I know many people expected an unlock earlier but apparently Apple has done a good job to make life harder for hackers. Not a perfect job, though.

I know this is a bad comparison but the HTC Advantage unlock has been achieved in a couple of weeks and it seems to be less complicated. So I think that the Dev Team did a wonderful job til now, I just hope the unlock will be available sooner than later because to be honest, I'm getting a little bit impatient myself.
End of August, I plan to go on a vacation and I would love to be able to use the iPhone, including the phone option.

Using SimEasy and a phoenix compatible sim card reader I managed to extract the KI from both a Comviq Kontant card and a Telia Refill.

It took about half an hour for the Comviq and 10 minutes for the Telia. With my reader I got a GSM 6 in 1 card, will this work for the iPhone hack?

Also, isn't it weird that we seem to still have v1 cards in Sweden, or is it perhaps that we have vX cards that still use v1 encryption.
