Stealth Sim from irepair.ca doesn't work. I need some help.
Hi guys I need some advice or help.
I personally went to the irepair.ca store here in Toronto today after renewing my health card. Anyway, I went and bought the $29.00 Stealth Sim. It's color orange o.O You can check their website for the product info. So I tried it. I did the steps, cut a corner to make space for the microchip (It was on the other side by the way, unlike the newer stealth sims the black one which have the microchip on the right side.) I tried to put it in with my sim, but somethings wrong. It doesn't go in smooth, unlike those videos I see on the net. I'm afraid to push it in because when I was going to do it, the stealth sim disaligned with the sim. So I tried to put a small tape on the side (really small one to align it together). Finally I got it in. But it doesn't recognize my sim still. I'm so pissed off. I feel like I wasted $29.00 for nothing. I'll be glad if someone could help me out here. Thanks in advance. I'll check this topic later.
By the way. Here's my iphone specs
Bootloader version 4.6

You don't need *sim anymore. You can either follow the tutorial to unlock 1.1.2, or (shift) restore to 1.1.4 and use iPlus.
OMG, so I totally gave away that $29.00 oh noes. lol Thank you. I'll try it out later. Can you please ellaborate more on the shift to restore 1.1.4. If its possible can you please give me the link. I want to upgrade to 1.1.4 jailborken, unlock and activated.
Go to the "Software Unlock" section of the forums, and choose either iPlus or Ziphone. Or even eZiphone. There are advantages and disadvantages to both, it's up to you to decide. The main disadvantage with Ziphone is that in order to get 1.1.4 working with its proper baseband, your bootloader will need to be (as of now) irreversibly downgraded to 3.9. However, it appears to be user friendly.
iPlus seems to be safer, as the bootloader downgrade can be reversible. However, no real GUI yet, so you better read the instructions properly before running it.
About the (shift) restore: DO NOT update through iTunes. You need to download the 1.1.4 firmware to your computer first (you should find the link in one of the tutorials) and then, through iTunes, press SHIFT while clicking on restore, a window will pop up allowing you to choose the firmware that you previously downloaded to your computer, as mentioned above. I hope this makes sense...
