[Solution?!] Sending SMS Problem
Hi guys!
Like some others of you i've got the problem with "Error sending SMS" (signal dropping, coming again) with my china3gpp / Nextsim. I've tried a lot of hints from the forums but nothing did the job.
I'm currently 1.1.3-devteam (1.1.2 OTB) with clean restore from 1.1.1 without (!) iworld
I've tried the reset of my message centre number by typing *5005*7672*xxxxxxxx# - but that did not work for me ("Setting Succeeded - Service Centre Address - No Address")
So i took my original SIM with the NextSim and checked the settings in my Nokia. Alright. Everything ok. The message center number was something like ... +43... Should be ok. I tried sending SMS, everything OK, but no chance to send SMS with my iPhone ... damn...
So after a while i put my original SIM WIHOUT the NextSim into the Nokia - and there, the message centre number was without the +43! So i modified this, sent SMS and into my iPhone - still the same problem.
So i rechecked the settings in my nokia (original sim only), then put it into my nokia with the nextsim and sent one SMS to myself.
original Sim + nextsim --> iPhone --> WORKED!
jipppppieee
hopefully this does not only work for me, but also for you. so if you succeed doing this, just report it here - please!
and if it does not work, i'm sorry for posting this... just wanted to help
greets from +43

I had the same problem with an x-sim 5th edition. I tried allmost everything to solve this problem but nothing seemed to work. I realised that the reason why the problem didnt work, was maybe that the iphone didnt load the message center number. So when initially tried the *5005*7672*xxxxxxxx# it didnt work. My country code is +45, so i tried 0045, +45 and just 45. Many times it just failed, but when i received this message "Setting Succeeded - Service Centre Address - No Address" and tried with +45, I could send the messages. The problem is that, the iPhone doesnt save this number, so everytime I restart the phone, I have to make it accept that number (*5005*7672*+45xxxxxxxx#), which happens in like 1 out of 4 times.
How can this number be stored in the iPhone permanently?
If you guys dont have a solution, this might be an easy way to solve it everytime you restart the phone.
Add two new contacts:
Fix SMS 1:
*5005*7672*0045xxxxxxxx#
Fix SMS 2:
*5005*7672*+45xxxxxxxx#
First you dial Fix SMS 1. Probably this wont work, it will give you an error. Then you dial Fix SMS 2 and get "Setting Succeeded - Service Centre Address - No Address". This will work, but it wont store the number permanently.

I had some suspesions that maybe it was the simcard from the carrier that caused the problem. The first one i tried was the one at the right (in the picture). I cant remember where i got this picture from, but they said that the simcard on the right wouldnt work with a *sim solution. This was the one that I had working as I wrote in the previous post. I could send the messages when i stored the message central number, but it wouldnt stick permanently, so every restart of the iPhone deleted the number. I thought that maybe it was the simcard that caused the problem, so i tried the second one in the picture. Exactly the same problem. The picture shows that this should work with *sim, and it did, but it had the same sms problems as the other one.

Just some thoughts I wanted to share
